Thoughts on if you would add an extra hopper day?

Originally we weren't arriving until early evening for this upcoming trip. Now we are (hopefully) arriving by noon! We have 9 day hoppers because even though this is a 10 night trip, we really weren't counting the the arrival day. Now we will have the day if flights on schedule.

We are staying at Boardwalk Inn. Playing with idea of adding an extra day to ticket, but then also I figured we could use day to just go to Disney Springs, maybe from there visit Poly to see new Tower and then just get a later dinner at a lounge around resort.

Or we could add a hopper and go to Epcot, maybe get an extra ride on Test Track.

What would you guys do? 😀

Well the difference between a 9 day park hopper vs a 10 day park hopper is about $27 per person.

You don't need to decide now but once you get to a park entrance, and in your case the International Gateway at Epcot just stop at the ticket booth / Guest services window and add your day.

We would add the extra park hopper day if we got to the resort by 1 PM vs spending time at DS but that is just our family.

ETA: corrected $.27 to $27. Thanks @Judique.

Wait, really? So on Tuesday (arrival day) we can just add it for 27 cents per person? I think maybe we'd be fools not to do that! 😄
or did you mean $27 per person? I'm probably reading it wrong.

I'm pretty sure he meant $27 per person, depending on your date of arrival of course!

Still a cheap 'extra' park day.

You can also wait to add on at the gate which is what I would do.

I'm all for the extra day. We've arrived in the past at 7pm and still taken the family to Magic Kingdom for rides and fireworks. It's worth it to us, especially back when we didn't go as often and wanted to make sure we had time for everything.

I'd be inclined to add it but agree would wait and do at Guest Relations at the International Gateway in case you have any travel delays and/or to gauge how you're feeling and how likely you are to get use out of a ticket.

It’s easy to make this decision after you arrive. If you decide to go to a park on arrival day, you can add a day to your ticket anytime until you have used all days on your ticket. No need to make this decision in advance.

For a 10 day trip...9 days is PLENTY. We usually only do 7 for an 11 day trip. I would definitely want a few down days/pool/Springs resort hop/dinners.
