well here in Southern Ontario anyway!

Woke up to a white winter wonderland - with it still coming down like crazy! another 20 to 25 cm supposed to hit today! I guess my 8yo ds gets out of his piano recital after all today :lmao:

Stay safe and stay home today Ontario friends! :santa:

I think we will have a white Christmas this year. Remember last year, it was green..............

Green till Mid Jan last year so am happy to have the snow this year!!

Now if only it would go away before the end of Feb...... ahhhhh but I will leave the snow behind for sunny San Juan on March 7th :cool1:

Hi from Paris, Ontario. I think it will be jammy day for me and get my christmas card/scrapbooking done. DD18's boss from Brantford just called and decided not to open up today, besides getting a little extra money for today, she doen't mind to stay home. We are just glad that Sobeys is around the corner pluss good old Timmys.:coffee:

Winter wonderland for sure. Saying hi from Waterloo, ON. Just finished shoving and it looks like well be out again a few times before it stops. Great time to get the christmas presents wrapped. If you must go out. Please drive carefully.

Dance . . . cancelled!!!

Curling . . . . cancelled!!

It seems like a perfect day to wrap Christmas presents!!!:thumbsup2

We were watching the news last night and it said you guys were supposed to get 30-40cm the first night and 25-30cm the second night :scared1:
Hope your all doing ok. Time to do Christmas baking and tobogganning!

We have a white christmas every year....I dream of a green Christmas. I hate the snow!

no other options but to stay in.........all roads in and out are now closed, and the snow keeps coming. A week ago, 28c and sunny, on vacation at WDW, this week, -8c and 30+ hours of snow at home.....yuck

We went out in it today and it was incredible we love this stuff. We also took the kids tobogganing but the snow was to fluffy to really get the sleds down the hill they just sunk into the show and didn't go very far. Still lots and lots of fun though.

I am the opposite. I love the snow. At least the kids can get outside and do stuff....the COLD on the other hand I cannot stand. The older I get the less I seem to tolerate it!

Generally, if there's snow, it's already too cold for me! The roads suck, people forget how to drive, there's ice everywhere, have to warm up the car, takes longer to get to work, the days are shorter, you get lazier....the all around winter time of the year and me just don't get along! It gets way colder here than in Southern Ontario....live here during a cold winter and you may change your mind! I would rather go outside on a nice sunny day and toss the frisbee around than go and make a snow man in a thousand layers of clothing!

We are in Calgary and don't quite get the amount of snow you do thanks to those chinooks. Born and raised in Alberta so I can totally relate!:goodvibes

This isn't good. My son has an exam tomorrow at university and we can't even get off our street!!!

We can't go outside to play it is just blowing way to much. Can't even see across the street! I'm sure there will be no school buses running tomorrow so the kids will be able to get out there in those 6 ft drifts - they'll probably be 12 ft by morning if it keeps up as it is now  Our road is usually one of the first county roads to be plowed and here it is 5:30 pm and no plow yet! Had an ambulance pulling a car down the road a while ago!

We are in Halifax right now and are currently getting pummelled with snow and tommorrow we are to have 12 Celcius

we don't get the base numbers of Edmonton, but factor in the lake effect (86% relative humidity and -16 windchill), and the cold here gets into the bones. I absolutely hate winter.

Had a great home day today..... fire is going and I gave us an early Christmas present of the new Harry potter movie. Went out to play in the snow and got that snowblower working (thank GOODNESS we have one..... it was DEEP!!)
Cooked a 15lb turkey that we were supposed to have at the family party that was supposed to be here last night but was cancelled b/c of the snow. Turkey leftovers anyone???
Kids even made fudge.
the way it's still blowing and the fact that our road is snowed in I can't see busses running tomorrow!
Hope everyone stayed in and safe today! going to be a white Christmas for sure :santa:

Good evening all....:goodvibes
I hope everyone enjoyed their day! It's very windy out here now, blowing all that "white stuff" everywhere. The plow still hasn't come near my subdivision, so we are stuck here for now. I have no idea what the main roads look like. I have to drive to Milton from here (Paris) at 5:00am for work....wondering if I have any chance of making it...!!! Might be a snow day for my son...and me :thumbsup2
Stay warm
Erin
