"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

Ahhh!! Love your tour of Pop. I have stayed in the 90's and 50's sections! I think it's so fun, because each section has a different feel to it! Oh and your Name That Movie: Toy Story 3!! (The part I always cry at) OMG the Tie-dye cheesecake!! Love that stuff! Thinking on my next trip I may have to take a special trip to Pop for the cheesecake. Nom nom nom! Excited for your next day!!

Great tour of that resort..wow little mermaid 1989 crazy. Looks like a nice night ;)

What lovely sunset photos of the lake and AoA! Very nice.

Play Doh!!! Anytime I see a picture that smell comes back to me. I LOVED that stuff as a kid so when I had kids I HAD to play along. (And yes, it still didn't taste good as an adult!)

I love that they incorporate Disney movies into the Pop theme. I guess that makes sense but I've never really seen photos of the resort so thanks for sharing.

What a great first day!

AHHHHHH, the Rubik's stairwell... My stairwell. I miss it A LOT!

Bahahaha. The Joey and Chandler foosball!! OMG. Just don't let Monica play!

Just for the record, I will never get tired of looking at Palm Trees. Just sayin'.

Thanks so much for all the POP pictures. I took surprisingly few. :confused3

And YUM to that cheesecake. So good!

What a lovely first day even though it really isn't, which is why it's so great. Playing around on arrival day is like bonus time. I loved it. :goodvibes

Love your pictures of POP!! I have some friends that are die-hard POP fans and since I have never visited there myself, I can see why they love it. It's so cool that you get to see Roger Rabbit there since he is not in the parks!

Well I guess if I once again don't get around to walking around Pop, I can just come and look at your photos! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tour of POP! I stayed there in 2010 in the 90s section and I loved it. I hope to get back and stay there again soon. My favorite thing in the food court was the POP waffles.

I love your tour! I have yet to watch a movie by the pool, but I plan to do it one of these days. The whole time we were there I wanted to stand on the 4th floor peering out the window next to Roger Rabbit and have Kyle take a photo of me from the ground. That would have been a great photo! Next time...

I love pics of palm trees. LOL. Takes so little to please me.
Great pics of POP.

YES!!!! We are going in October :) we will stay at my aunts a few days, Disneyland a few nights, then back to my aunt's and then home. Just spending a week in cali!

We have stated in 80s section and 50s! 50s definitely was the best!!!! So darn cute!!!!
The tiedye cheesecake is so yummy!!! Makes me want some right now!!!!

The One Where I Totally Meant to Do That…

OMG I love the monorail story. You know what, I can see why that happened, but that is so funny that you didn't even realize it until you GOT there! XD I think the whole "wandering around, doing whatever" is the BEST plan for when you're solo. It's really the only time you can fully get away with it, and going with whatever happens leads you so many new places... as I think is proven just with this one entry. I mean, hey! New cupcake! :lmao:

OK, I am MUCH closer now than I was to being caught up. Yay for me! :D Oh and I can't believe Mermaid shut down just before your FP!! UGH! That happened to us on our last trip with Splash Mountain... for like the final 24 hours of the trip, so that means Saturday night AND Sunday morning/early afternoon before we left. No final Splash trip for us! :P I'm taking my daughter on it twice next time just to make up for it. ^_^ (Well, hopefully more, but since we're only going to be there for one day, so I think 2 is probably it... lol)

I love how you got back on the monorail to head to BLT! I am sure I would have done the same thing. I can't wait for us to stay at BLT! One day it will happen! And I have that 'NSYNC song Pop in my head. I'm sure I have it on my iPhone that I can play. LOL. Sad I know. The sunset is beautiful too!

Catching up and loving the updates!! I had to laugh at some of the titles: "The One Where Heaven Is Crowded." SO TRUE. :rolleyes2

YUM for the birthday cupcakes at the Contempo Café, and I love that you went automatically to the monorail. I've done that...my steering wheel somehow instinctively aims for the Polynesian when I'm driving around Disney... :thumbsup2

OK, and when you said "Can you dig it" in the Pop update, I'm sure you were doing a 70's reference, but I was totally reading it in my head like the guys on the radio in Dinoland say it! I think I've been to the Boneyard one too many times. :rolleyes1

Can't wait for more!

I don't think I commented on your past 2 updates... sorry!

Winging it in Disney is awesome (I mean, if you are awesome like a Diser and have been there, done that - if it's your first time there that could be a disaster!) Our trip in May made me realize that making plans is silly, because we never follow them or it does not work out. I'm now an official winger.

I love that parade, but I've only seen it once or twice. The timing of those 3pm parades in the parks are terrible for me, as we usually take a mid-day break. We're always trying to rush out of there before the parade starts. Those crowds are crazy. And I hate being caught in those tape & rope messes when they are trying to set up for the parade, :scared: The people mover is a great first ride ;) I have still never been on carosel of progress.

Oh my goodness I cannot believe you got on the monorail. I'll admit I was confused when you said you were walking that way. I could be wrong, but when I was there not even 2 weeks before you, Pop Century was not a monorail resort :rotfl2: Oh no, the cupcake was gone? :sad2: That totally reminded me of the episode of How I Met Your Mother when Marshall was looking for the best burger in New York if you've ever seen it. Marissa was on the search for the best cupcake in Disney World! At least it was a cute cupcake :thumbsup2

I love your tour of pop. We stayed there twice and I loved it, before I became a deluxe and suite snob that is haha. We stayed in the 50s the first time and 80s the second. I actually don't remember seeing that stack of discs, and I didn't realize what was on the screen of the computer, that is so cool!

Tie Dye cheesecake! Oh I'm a huge fan!!!

Pop seems like such a huge resort to me (compared to the All Stars). I can understand how you kept getting lost. When I stayed there in 2011, Alex was leading me to the room, and I kept asking, "Are we at our building yet?" How 'bout now? Where are we?!" :rotfl: But I bet touring it was fun. A lot of times on trips, you're so busy heading to and from the parks, you don't always take time to see what the resort has to offer.

That view of AoA across the lake is amazing! It's so inviting! How could anyone NOT want to stay there at least once?:confused3

Mmm, tye-dye cheesecake, one of the best things about Pop!

Just caught up on this TR! So excited to hear more about your trip, Marissa! :mickeyjum

Ugh, that stinks about having to wait so long for a DHS bus and that the line for TSM was already out the door! Do you know what time it was? Maybe it was just Disney blocking off some of the inside queue to try to get people to go somewhere else? Who knows.

Yes, MU does rule! (the movie and my school...haha!) :thumbsup2

I agree, the Narnia attraction was lame. The only cool part about it was that I got to meet Prince Caspian. I guess the pirate one was a little better but I still wasn't crazy about it. haha, I thought the projection was real too! I thought there was a person standing up there!

Oooh, you're going to join the addiction known as pin collecting/trading??? Love it!
