"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

I'm glad this day got off to a better start!

Ah, AK and EE! I love that coaster but no way could I ride it 4 times in a row! I take motion sickness pills but I still get queasy if I overdo it. I rode it three times on my last solo trip but spaced it out a bit and I still felt a little wobbily after the third time. I'm still debating about what to do in May. I really want to hit up the parade and EE at AK but of couse that will mean abandoning Jim for a while. I'll probably just have to see what kind of mood he's in that day!

Is it the Zebra cupcake you are after? I want to try that one myself someday.

Cute picture with Donald!

Everytime someone talks about FOLK I want to cry since it's closed and I won't be seeing it in May. :sad1: I think that's part of the reason I don't have a big desire to go to AK.

I think my brother and his now-wife managed either 4 or 5 rides on Everest in the very short time we had on our Animal Kingdom day. I hadn't realized that I hadn't told them much about the ride before our trip and after their first ride he texted me "That was awesome! You and dad have to ride it."

4 times in 20min? Awesome!!!!

I love disney croissants LoL (everything's better in Disney)

Cute pic with Donald!!

I don't think you can see FOTLK too many times ;)

Oh man what a bummer than you fell asleep! After all the heat and everything though, it sounds like you needed some rest for your big last day and all that "doing it again" you are doing ;) That's so cool that you rode EE 4 times in a row! I cannot wait to read all about your last day. I was looking forward to the reveal of your TR title!

The pretzel looks good.
Heat and crowds never mix.
Oh no! Sorry you fell asleep that long but I guess your body needed it.
Score on row 1 on EE.
Great pic with Donald.

I love soft pretzels too, but it seems like the only place I ever have them is Disney or Universal! Still haven't gotten a Mickey one, but hopefully I can rectify that in May.

Anna & Elsa...I can't believe how long the lines get for them! I am kind of glad we are not going to Epcot for May because I'd be tempted to wait for them. :rotfl: We LOVE Frozen!

Oh, wow, what a bummer than you slept so long!! I can imagine how upset you were when you realized you missed out on so much park time, but you probably REALLY needed that sleep!! I hope you made the most of your last day!

What a cute story about the little girl on the bus :) I love it when kids are excited about being at Disney and they get real talkative.
I can't believe you rode Everest 4 times!!!! I would have thrown up half way through the ride! (that would be me, lol!)
LOL about your super excited ride partner!
Love the pic of you and Donald! Gotta love that guy :goodvibes

This picture is SO pretty. The clouds, the reflections, the perspective. It could be a postcard. Love it!

So I totally remember when my DS was 13 and was too cool for Disney. ugh! It was SO annoying. I hope the lovely girl you were talking to on the bus never goes through that stage. Only my older son, not my younger.

4 rides on EE in 20 minutes. :worship::worship::worship::worship: You rock. I'm one and done. I feel like my head is loose after the first one. :rotfl2: I totally love the front row. It's the only way to go. :thumbsup2

I hate to see your last day. I'm sure I must have missed an update or two while I was away.

Your last day is off to a good start!! The little girl on the bus sounds so adorable! Love all the pics of Expedition Everest!! 4 times is quite the streak on EE! How fun! I hope you can find that cupcake in May!!

Hey there!! I missed a few updates! Bad Paula Bad!

Anyways. Don't feel bad about the sleep at Disney. Sometimes its just REALLY what you need! I know its time missed from the parks but if you hadn't slept than the following day you may not have had as much energy!

And 4 times on EE?!? I can't even handle 1 lol. We go to AK for the Safari and FOTLK. I am SO VERY VERY SAD that it will not be on in April/May! VERY hopeful that it IS back on in October!

Have you talked with Brenda about meeting up?!? Cause except for our resorts I have a feeling we will be together quite a bit lol. Almost all of our meals are together! Which you are still welcome to join us at any if you wish!

The One Where I'm Doing That Again!

Day 7: Monday, June 3, 2013

I made sure to go through the standby line first because I wanted to finally sit in the front! It was a walk-on. Bonus! I was sent to ROW 1, and I was just too excited. My ride partner was very... enthusiastic. He thoroughly enjoyed his ride, let me tell ya. About every 20 seconds he would scream, "YEAAAAAH! LET'S DO THIS!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!!" Oh my goodness yall, it was freaking hilarious. I could not stop laughing. And by the way, riding in the front is so much fun! I actually expected it to be a little bit scary when the track ran out. I was assuming it would feel like you were about to run off the edge, but I didn't notice it being bad. It was a lot of fun!

When I got off, I finally discovered the single rider line! Oh boy, I was about to take advantage of that thing.

I hopped in the line and waited all of 30 seconds for the CM to assign me to a row. This time I ended up riding with a guy about my age. He was really nice and asked me if my friends had chickened out on me. So I just pretended that they had. Hahaha! This time I was sitting closer to the back, so that was awesome.

My third ride was with a mom whose husband and daughter (a first time rider) were in front of us. It was so cute to watch her reactions. Her mom was so nervous for her! I think she really liked it.

My fourth ride was another funny one because I was with a Spanish-speaking family who had no idea what the ride was about. They were all screaming and cracking up laughing throughout the ride. It was too cute!

After that fourth ride, I could feel it in my stomach that I was done. Four is pretty good, but I'm hoping I can beat that in May. Still, four rides on Everest in 20 minutes? Amazing.

On my Previous Trip my sister and I capped out at four too. There was no wait so we just kept going.
There were no waits that whole glorious trip.

Oh no for falling asleep for so long! I totally do that on a weekly basis, but it's obviously not as painful as having it happen in Disney. I hope it gave you the energy to get through your last full day!

Whoa to 4 times on Everest! I'm such a chicken that I can't even do once, haha. I'm too afraid of getting dizzy and having it ruin my day. I, like you, can easily get carsick in a parking lot! Haha, I thought that was a great way to describe really bad motion sickness.

Finally getting some DIS time on this early Saturday morning. I enjoyed your pictures. :thumbsup2

The Mickey pretzel looks perfect, as does the croissant.

We are AK fans in a big way. ::yes:: I will look forward to seeing FotLK again in a new location. As for Everest - one time was good enough to last me for several years. I thought it was a little intense. I think the Seven Dwarfs' Mine Train may be more my speed. :goodvibes

So I just caught up on the update I missed-

Beautiful picture of China. It looks like a post card.

I have to admit that the red, white, and blue slushy drinks looks not only quite patriotic, but also very yummy. And who doesn't love a Mickey Pretzel.

Don't be so hard on yourself for falling asleep. You must have really needed the sleep. It happens to the best of us.
