I'm cheating! Next Vacation.

Just back from Disney (POR) . Great trip, great resort, a little rainy. Heres my question - I just want to get away next vacation, no Disney, small crowds and soak up the sun and relax. Anybody know of a great hotel or resort in the Bahamas or Mexico. Thanx Don't tell Mickey!

I have stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cancun Mexico and it was nice. It is an all inclusive resort and the beach and grounds are nice.

this place was georgous and very secluded. perfect for lying around doing nothing! Not all inclusive but they have an honor bar and some of the cottages have kitchens and such.

We did an adults-only all-inclusive in Playa del Carmen [30 min south of Cancun]. Secrets Capri. It was so utterly relaxing. Delicious. Beautiful.

I would also suggest Turks and Caicos for relaxing. Although it's not Bahamas or Mexico. Non all-inclusive, lots of good restaurants. The most beautiful turquoise water. We stayed at Ocean Club West there. The Sands would be nice also if you had kids. Grace Bay Club for luxury no kids.

Just so you know, we did not stay there overnight, however: I was on a DCL cruise in 2003, and discovered by accident that there is a resort in Cozumel called Playa Azul. They have a golf course, if you're into that. The beach is fantastic, the water is clear and warm, and the FOOD is incredible. Some of the rooms have jacuzzis on their balconies overlooking the ocean.

It is about 10-15 minutes away from the cruise ports, and seems to serve a lot of european Clientele. Did not seem crowded but it was the first week of December. I don't know what the prices are, or if the hurricanes did any damage to it last year.

A friend of mine just got back Monday from a 7 day Cruise out of Baltimore on the Royal Carribean to Bermuda. Said it was awesome, very relaxing
