Just arrived home a couple of hours ago........had a really fantastic time but glad to be back home. Can't believe how cold it is!!!

Parks were quite busy at the beginning of the holiday but had quietened down by the end of last week.

The best bits -
Fantastic weather - in the 80's most if the time, very little rain.
The location of the villa - Emerald Island, brilliant for getting to WDW via Sherberth Rd.
Spending a couple of days with Night-train (John) and his DW Laura and DD Caitline in the parks, IOA and MK. We had such a great time!!!
In the parks, Mickey's Philharmagic was fantastic, got to see a preview of Lights Motor Action at MGM. Did RnR for the first time!!!! :goodvibes
And the food........we ate at Bomas, Cape May Cafe, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, Confisco Grill at IOA for the Spiderman Breakfast.
The kids loved the Nick Hotel too.
Power Rangers in the MGM parade!!!!!! The kids were in total awe when oneof them came up and did a high 5 with them both. Think that was the highlight of the trip for them!!!

The not so best bits -
Having our Washington - London flight home cancelled, meaning a night in the Hyatt Dulles, then we left Dulles at 10am yesterday morning, arrivng 10pm London time - then another night in the Radisson Heathrow before we got our Glasgow flight this morning!!!! We spent 3 days in the same clothes!!!!!
The villa hadn't been cleaned when we arrived so we weren't very pleased about that!!
One of the other families staying in the villa with us were delayed on the way out due to a passport problem

Anyway, the washing machine awaits. I did try to take notes for a trip report, but around day 5 I lost the plot a bit so I'll try and muster something up from memory from the rest - and hopefully get some pictures to show you!!!!

Hiya Cath:wave2:

Welcome home....sounds like a nightmare coming home.

Glad to hear you had a good holiday though and I am looking forward to seeing some photo's:)

Welcome home Cath  , sounds like you had a lovely time all in all, it's great for the kids when they are personally touched by one of the characters i remember woody picking out my ds Billy in one of the parades and he was on a high for the rest of the day :teeth:

I'll keep an eye out for your trip reports, good luck with your washing and ironing, reality hits you like a brick wall :rotfl2:

Cath - Welcome Home :)

Will there be a nice trippie in the pipe line??

Welcome home, glad you had a nice time so that was your first time on RnR I take it you've just been too chicken to try it before? from one chicken to another what was it REALLY like? I feel v sick after SM so would I cope?

Welcome Home Cath

It sounds like you've had a great time. Well done on going on RnRc - did you do it more than once ?? You certainly have had a busy time, especially on the way home. I can't wait to hear all about it. Good luck with the washing (which I find is even worse than the jet lag!!)

mandymouse :earsgirl:

BTW carolfoy, I absolutely HATE Space Mountain too, but I LOVE RnRc - it is much more a smoother ride

Well, mandy I may give it a try, I figured if I wear seabands (you know those anti travel sickness things) it may ,at least psychologically, alleviate my fears, I'd so love to do it but after SM I'm such a chicken

Welcome back, glad you had a good time....much better than the 2 weeks ive just had, where some bug swept through my family, including myself, and we have all been ill. Not the most fun ive had, trying to look after a 2 and 4 year old that are the sickest ive ever seen them, when I was feeling so bad myself......in fact its only really today ive been back on the DIS.
Look forward to reading your trip report if you are doing one.

Welcome home to the cold damp weather
You all most be really tired after your delayed flights home

one wee question ,trying to decide what to pack ,what was the weather like in the evenings will we need jumper and jeans or will shorts and t shirts do

BTW hows the washing going ?our suitcases only get as far as the back door

Welcome Home Cath!

Sound like you had an action packed trip! Looking forward to all the gory details!

Allie

Thanks for taking the time to post your mini-report. I'll be watching for the longer verstion that I hope you'll write after you've had a chance to catch your breath. It's amazing that you had the energy to write this today after the three travel days you just endured--and those days followed a jampacked, energy-zapping vacation. You must be operating on pure adrenline at this point. My DH always used to say about trips to Disney "It's hard work having this much fun!"

:) Welcome home Cath, looking forward to hearing all about your trip! :)

Hi Cath

Welcome home and belated congratulations on coming 3rd in the March quiz, when you get 5 mins, please drop me a PM with your details, so that I can send you your prize.

So glad you had a great time and sorry about your flight on the way back, not a good way to end your hols.

Sue

Thanks everyone!! And came home to such nice news of coming third in the quiz!!!!!!

Now feel a bit more human now - although when I woke up this morning I couldn't figure out where I was!!!

Bought myself lots of lovely Maleficent things - bag, purse, teeshirt, Christmas tree decs, doll.....and had a temporary tatoo done!!! :teeth: But no snow globe this time!

Getting through the washing slowly but surely, and went back to work today too!!!

Will try my hardest to get a trip report started fairly soon, and might start getting my pics onto the PC later tonight!!!

Hi Cath!!

Welcome home. It sounds like you all had a fab time (apart from the last 3 days, naturally :( )

I would love to hear everything and anything, including any photos :teeth:

Cheers

Karen
