Hey just read your post today and it is a great read!
I second the cab ride to Sea World.... have done it many times in the past and the cost is reasonable..... think of it this way.... if you are the planning type and by reading your post YOU ARE!then you like to pack as many things in... right? So the cab is instant walk out of your hotel and into the cab... 15 mins later you are at Seaworld's "front door".... then when you are tired HOT and just want to escape back to WDW then poof! theres the cab and 15 mins later your back.
Did you ever think of doing a water park? If your BDF is a thrill ride freak... then an easy day over at BB and a quick ridedown Summit Plummit will fit the bill!!! Trust me!!
I was SO excited about my wonderful ADRs I had for the trip and yesterday I log onto the Disney Dining Ressie thing and type in my ADRs only to find my nice sit down dinner at Tonys on our last night GONE!!![]()
So I call DIsney to see why this is and they tell me that someone (aka my travel agent as we found out) canceled this time and then rebooked me at 1pm instead of the original 7pm that she SENT US with the Confirmation number!! I dont care that much that the reservation was changed to 1pm for whatever reason, I just do not understand why she would sent us the wrong ressie information and confirmation number and time. I understand we all make mistakes but this is something that could easily have been avoided by sending the RIGHT information!
We now have changed to Crystal Palace for 3ish, as we wanted something for dinner not lunch, which is OK but I'm more disappointed in the fact that we hired a TA, spacifally one that works at a Disney Only Planning Travel Agency (not the same people who own this site, a completely different one) to help us ensure things like this would not happen!! Its such a stupid mistake and I would have let it go except these little mistakes and over sights keep popping up.
I'm not one to complain, and I felt bad that Craig sent the email because she has been nice to us and she was friendly. But I think the point is this whole process has been made stressful by going to this company, we've had to continously follow up on questions because they are not answered within a few days, we missed a seat sale because we were waiting like a week for a response about an extra day, our adrs the first time around were basicly not what we wanted, having to make changes ourselves and even make an ADR for the last day that i asked her twice to make, but she said that she thought I wanted to keep that last day open till we got there?! Which makes no sense considering I gave her my resturant choices when we added the last day. Now I feel as though I have to recheck everything and am worried. I have kept quiet about it till now because I know they have many clients and mistakes are made, but I feel now that these are just careless errors that could be avoided by double checking things. We are both very worried that there will be more stuff like this when we get down there[/COLOR]
Now I just gotta cancel out the other ones but I'm gunna wait till after we pay and get all our documents and everything.
So in short your restaurants are 'double booked'???
Sorry, but to me that is about the ruddest thing someone can do, ESPECIALLY during free dining, as restaurants are so difficult to get in during the free dining window.
You have reservations that you don't intend to show up at, and therefore keeping said reservations from another family who could use them? That's a VERY selfish act. I don't understand why you don't just have your TA cancel the ones you don't intend to use?![]()
The online ADR system is well-known to be crap - did you call your TA to double-check first before you panicked?
Disney CMs are so inconsistent in terms of their knowledge of ADRs, amongst other aspect of WDW, hey?
I'm sorry you weren't happy with your TAWe absolutely LOVE our TA and everyone we know who's used them have been more than satisfied with their service. You should use our TA next time

I understand what your saying about other families needing the ressies and so forth and I agree but you shouldnt just assume things because thats not what i was trying to do AT ALL.
I also have not told my TA about the new ressies because of the problems so I thought if I canceled it and she saw it would cause more problems with them so I figured if I canceled them after we got our documents it would save me from possible drama.
I never said you were trying to do that. What I said was you shouldn't hold on to ressi's you don't intend to use. Which you originally said you were doing by waiting for your documents first...

I think you'd be doing your TA a favor by saying that you wanted your ADR's cancelled, as I would imagine it's less work for them.I mean it appears from this thread that you change things quite a bit.
And it was more disappointing when DBF complained and they blamed it on Disney when it was thier mistake!
I called Disney (not my TA) and they helped me find out that my original Tonys ADR was made at 7pm (like the info she sent me) and it was made by my TA and then the same person (my TA) canceled the 7pm ressie and then rebooked it for 1pm. But she sent us the 7pm ressie still

I'm not a TA, nor do I play one on TV.However, this just makes NO sense to me.
Why would any TA decide to 'call Disney up' and change your reservation??? I just can't imagine Dreams Unlimited or any other TA sitting around and going "Hey, let me call up Disney and change this guys dining reservation to a different time. That would be funny!"
What I'm saying is be careful, as Disney will NEVER admit to their mistakes. If Mexico is sold out for dinner at the 90 day mark, Disney will say it's because it's sold out, not because anything could be wrong with their 'precious' dining system.Take a look around these boards and you'll see lots of examples of how much they don't and how often they screw up!!!

Right. Same goes for either Disney or the TA. Makes NO sense.However, if the ADR's were booked on-line, well then that would be the problem!
I had booked a ressi myself for Hoop on-line and I called Disney to change it about a week later and they said that no such reservation existed?!?![]()
I KNOW I didn't cancel it (lol). Anyhow, apparently there was a problem with the system (shocking) and as a result, it automatically cancelled all Hoop and Spirit reservations!! So needless to say, I'd be pointing fingers with horrible computer systems before anyone else.![]()
but this is why we all check right!
We thought by going threw a TA things like this should be double checked before sent to us, esp if this new reservation system is so blah. Cuz it woulda sucked for us if we found this out when we went down there and our ADR was changed!!!!
BTW Did you end up going to any of the dinner shows down there?
We were debating between hoop de doo and spirit but decided to go with SOA.
Well, I've checked like twice a day since they lost my Hoop ADR (lol). And will continue to do so up until the day I leave now!!!
Meh, a double check wouldn't even do enough. I mean there have been that many problems with the on-line system, that like I said - I'm checking on mine twice a day.
Oh I've been to both of them before. Hoop is a ba-zillion times better than Spirit IMHO. Spirit is boring and the food isn't as good. Plus, Hoop is much more 'roudy' if you are drinkers.![]()
HI! Just started reading your PTR and we will be at DW and at POP Aug 24-29th! We are also eating at Chef de France for lunch to see Remy on Friday! The CM that my DH booked the res thru didn't know about Remy so I'm hoping he is still there since that is the reason we are going. Maybe we will run into you![]()
