Carl sorry to hear the weather was that hot. May is a wonderful month in Florida, but I agree it can be very hot.

Also so sorry to hear things did not work out with your meet. You try to plan to meet a few Dis'ers only to have no one show up. This can be very disheartening, I'm sure if it was that hot, the people you were suppose to meet were just as hot, and sometimes when it's that hot things just don't seem to go as planned, especially if you have children. Disney has a way of consuming your time. It's sometimes hard to plan on being somewhere on a certain time. I know I usually through my plans out the window after the first day.

I love going in May, I've never felt it was as hot as Houston. They must have had some kind of heat wave.

Welcome Back, Carl! I'm sorry you had problems with your trip, though. We, too, won't return in May (return? We've never been to WDW in May, just DL) for the same reason -- way too hot! And don't even *think* about June through September.

Sorry about the meet, or lack thereof. We rarely sign up for meets because we'll get busy doing something and not realize what time it is and end up missing them. Doesn't make it any less frustrating when people who said they would be there aren't, though.

Yes, I believe they must have had a heat wave - the ENTIRE 6 days I was there. In fact, from the weather cast, I believe they were due for another week of that heat. At any rate, it IS cooler here than it was there. At least it was today.
The trouble is, at my age and with my health problems, I have a low tolerance for heat.

By the way I did meet Safari Steve just as I was leaving MK to go home.
