It was so hot. Never again will I go in May. I'll also never attempt to have a DIS meet at WDW again. None of the 5 people who indicated they would join me for the meet, showed up.

Hey the May "heat wave" was kinda unexpected...normally the weather is WONDERFUL in May...now its just HOT...please dont let the weird heat wave deter you from visiting us in May again..The parks usually arent to busty either..just before Memorial Day

Carl, Sorry the weather was too hot for you and the meet didn't work out.
I was there last week (thru May3rd) and it was hot but not too bad and the humidity was down.

Sometimes I think people may plan on a meet and then get busy touring the parks etc. to stop for a meet. One reason I didn't plan anything like that.

Don't feel bad, you'd never find me back at Disney for a May vacation... last time we went a few years back, it was seriously 100 degrees the whole week... way, WAY too hot for me...

It was plenty hot there last May too. We know.
I always love going -- but last May was the least enjoyable of our trips. Although most have been GREAT -- beyond our expectations.
MK was too crowded.
I think they need to extend the hours into the evening. At least in the evening the weather is better.
May, two years ago, we went to DLR/DCA/So CA. We had a great time and the weather was much more tolerable.
I've decided about six months out of the year, I plan to avoid WDW. January trips have spoiled us too much.

I think at WDW it is just very hard to stay on a schedule. And it seems most people underestimate how long something will take them to do, or even to go somewhere.

Bummer, Carl, that it was too hot for you and that you didn't get to meet any other DISers. I don't think May's suppose to be that hot. Now when we go mid June.....it's hot AND humid!!!

I agree with Luv2Roam, January's when we prefer to go too. The weather is perfect and very light crowds.

Besides Jan, October around Halloween is a good time to go Nice weather, low crowds...what more could you ask for. Last time we went for Halloween, we rode a couple of rides where the ride operator just asked us if we wanted to stay on and ride again. That's probably a rare thing in May and the other summer months.

I'm sorry no one showed up at the meet. That must be a bummer especially since you took the time out of your schedule to show up.

I'm sorry about your meet. Wow, I would be so disappointed if no one showed up. This is why I never commit unless I know for sure I can go. And I've had a lot of trouble going to the Dallas meets for some reason.

Sorry about the heat. I was in Largo last week and the temp was mid 80's. What would tic me off is people plan on a meet and not show. Last May we had a meet at the Poly for dinner, and quite a few showed, and some didn't. If I commit myself to a gathering, I will plan my day and go. Sorry for the no-shows.

It's been kinda cold up here in New England, so the heat felt good. Usually I go to WDW at the end of May and I find the heat bearable because the humidy is lower than in the summer.

It stinks that people didn't show up when they said they would. I'm sorry that happened, I sure hope you didn't waste a lot of time waiting for them.

Maybe we'll hear from those who didn't show when they return from their trips. I agree with C.Ann and I'd be disappointed also.
