Those folks working the reservation call center are saints for putting up with all my calls and changes!

When free dining for September came out I booked CBR.
Then I switched to POFQ because the boat to Downtown Disney looked neat. Then I switched it to POR because I learned I couldn't have a rollaway bed in POFQ.

Now I'm reconsidering Carribbean Beach Resort b/c POR just seems too big and the buses are challenging (lots of stops and very crowded).

POR pros:
:)Referbished rooms
:)Lots of pools to choose from
:)Boat to Downtown Disney

POR cons:
:confused:Huge property, lots of walking
:confused:Crowded buses
:confused:We're creeped out by the alligator/jester decor

CBR pros:
?

CBR cons:
?

I'd love to hear your pros and cons to these resorts.:surfweb:

I would go onto the CBR thread and check it out.

CBR is just as big as POR, but POR is better laid out; the farthest room is no more than a 12 minute walk. CBR buildings are farther. They also have multiple bus stops and a long walk to the buildings through the parking lots. At POR, you can walk a short walk from the parking lot and then pick the sidewalks at the buildings and get in the shade.

They have no elevators; POR has elevators in the mansions sections.

POR has the best food court on property, next to POP. Also has a wonderful restaurant. I was neither impressed with the food court nor the restaurant at CBR.

The access to DTD puts POR over the top IMHO.

Stay where you are. You won't b disappointed. CBR is way spread out n main bldg is far too. POR is beautifully situated big but not Large imho. You'll have great time.

Our first time going to Disney we stayed at CBR and we had no clue looking into room locations while booking. We ended up getting stuck in one of the last buildings farthest away from the main building. Needless to say we had to walk 15 mins to get to the main building. Very disappointing.....we stayed at CSR last year for the first time and love love loved it. Its a bigger resort and has a deluxe feel at a moderate price. It is by far our favorite resort.

Agreed.

We have stayed at both POR and CBR. CBR felt a lot bigger, I think POR just has a better layout.

All but cbr have queen size beds. All but POFQ have a ts restaurant. Imho csr has the best bus system. But as u mentioned both por n POFQ have the boat to DTD which is real nice. You will have a great time don't fret. Also we stayed in magnolia mansion section, an idwal spot if u ask me..
