So, found the perfect add-on yesterday. Current home resort, good # of points and same use year... Obviously, a mad rush to get submitted to Disney by 3/20.

Sent the deposit check overnight yesterday for Saturday delivery. That was a whole to do with FedEx who didn't want to do Saturday delivery to a business.

Sure enough, today there's a delivery exception with redelivery on 3/21. Research shows I transposed two of the numbers in the street address... So, no deposit check may mean no contract gets submitted... I'm a tool :headache:

Oh well, on the bright side we save a lot of money if it doesn't happen I guess.

That sucks!

I guess you will ONLY, you poor thing, be able to go to WDW on those points!

Why don't you call them and see if you can send funds today via Western Union? Or credit card, if possible.

If you used TSS they will submit it to ROFR before your deposit arrives as long has they have received your and the seller's paperwork. I made an offer on 2/23 and TSS submitted for ROFR on 2/24. While I mailed (not fed-ex but USPS) my deposit check on 2/23, it was a few days later that TSS acknowledged it's receipt. So if you used TSS or if your resale agent follows the same policy, I think you will be ok as long as the sellers got their paperwork in in time. Here's some pixiedust that it works out. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Good luck to you, hopefully things will work out pixiedust:

.....maybe DVC will extend date.

I found it odd that they made the cut-off date be on Sunday ( idk, it just
seemed a traditional business day M-F made more 'sense' but this is DVC we're talking about :rotfl: )

:)

Doubt they will extend the date.

That being said with the cut-off being on a Sunday (@ Midnight I was told) there will be no way to "fudge" when the contract offer was received. It must have a date stamp received by 3/20 at Midnight! If received at 12:01 on Monday TOOO late.

At least this is how it was explained to me by Timeshare Store agent.

Good Luck. Hopefully the agent doesn't need the check before they can submit for ROFR.

The 3/20 deadline makes sense to me. They are giving you all of a business week, plus the weekend. When business starts on 3/21 new policies are in effect.

As another poster suggested, can you use a credit card? We used a credit card for a deposit on our resale. All we had to do was fax them the page they required with our credit card information.

I'd try calling the broker, explaining what happened...maybe print off and fax your fedex info to the broker...and or write another check for the deposit and fax a copy to the broker. I've been able to get things "under contract" like this before. The worse the broker will say is no.

Well, :littleangel: was watching. The package was redirected and delivered today at noon. I suppose FedEx didn't want to mention it could happen in case it didn't. That, or a really nice customer service person pulled some magic and/or I had a sympathetic driver out there.

Either way, thanks FedEx! Though, for the cost you pay for Saturday delivery, you almost should get gold pillow delivery...

Now just waiting to hear it was submitted for ROFR.

Is DVC open today for business to get the offer submission?

My understanding is as long as the contract is there before 3/20 at midnight, it counts. Even if not processed until 3/21.

Just needs to be received.

That is awesome! Congrats and gooduck! I love when a plan comes together!:worship:
