We still have lots of it, because the kids don't eat much of it. They love to get it, but don't always think to actually eat it.
Right before each "candy holiday" (Valentine's Day, Easter, Fourth of July - parades, Halloween, Christmas) I have the kids sort through the candy and only keep the pieces they really like.
I have 2 kids and still have a big basket left. I keep encouraging them to eat it but no one does. I even have it on the kitchen counter hoping someone takes some. My son has taken the same Hershey bar to school in his lunchbox for over a week now! I just keep leaving it in there and he just keeps bringing it home.
Don't feel bad. DS4 still has candy left over from MNSSHP on Halloween and trick-or-treating from Sea World (a few days prior). Of course all the good candy was eaten, so what's left over are things that he will eat once in awhile.
Im the one who should be ashamed,,,, I still have my candy from mnsshp from this year, last year and the year before that,,,, all in huge storage buckets
Ours was gone within two days... well nto true, we still have gum, but that's because it's gross, and we wont let the kids eat it unless they are outside
we came back from MNSSHP and trick or treating on the Magic with seven pounds of candy!!! All the good stuff is gone - left with tons of laffy taffy and air heads. We're going to have to do some cleaning out before Santa comes!!!!
I just went through the halloween candy on sunday. like ok you can eat this but this does not look right so lets throw it away. I had four bags to go through. I ended up just keeping the reese cup, kitkats, mm, and some loppipops. we are not big candy eaters.
