Do I have this right?

When you buy tickets off the DL website (instead of a discounted site),
you can skip the ticket booth, hand the CM your print-out and just go through the turnstiles.
Your tickets are handed to you as you walk through the gates. Right?

Also, how bad are the ticket booth lines on a Saturday afternoon, this time of year?

That is correct.

That's an advantage of buying online, skipping the ticket booths.

The other is if it's a mutliday ticket 3 days or more, you get a discount off the gate price buying an Eticket.

I would never wait in a ticket line if I didn't have to. They *can* get very long. It seems that each person feels the need to have long discussions with the ticketing CMs. (I used to joke that they were brokering deals to create world peace) My interactions with the ticketing CMs are never that long, so it's very confusing.

Buying online and going to the gate is the best!

I agree, avoid the ticket booths if possible. It's SO easy to just print the ticket and exchange it at the turnstiles.

The long conversations might be because some people don't really know about DLR and what they want to do. We had to stand in the ticket booth line not too long ago (i forgot why, but it was unavoidable) and the people behind us started asking about the different tickets and I came to find out that they didn't even realize that there were 2 parks! I spent awhile explaining the different single park tickets and parkhoppers to these people and helping them decide what they wanted to do. I was amazed that in this day and age, with the internet, that people would come do DLR without even knowing about the tickets.

Thank you all for the help. :thumbsup2

Last year we bought tickets from the Orange County
Visitors Assoc. website and had to trade them in at the booth before
getting in line for the parks.
It will be great to avoid that extra step.
