I'm a wander-er!

WOW!! With Christmas things have been crazy and messy here. It took all day to get the house back to normal:eek: Bring on the NEW YEAR!!

I'm outta the loop (since winter break started...) how's the Xfer coming along?

I'm a floater too.

I started a TR and no one has commented. How depressing. :confused3

I think things are just slow with the holidays right now. Hang in there and I am sure it will pick up!!

No one has posted today so I thought I would give a big :woohoo: and :wave2: . Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I'm on vacation this week and spent one day painting and today grocery shopping--such fun. :confused3

Congrats on getting stuff done. I am a terrible painter which gets me out of that chore!;)

Checking in all... ahven't had anytime over the holiday to DIS1 now that were starting to actively PT DD... well I've got some time. :rolleyes2:

Don't miss PT:scared1:

I found this and I'm just checking in. I"m usually a lurker on many boards. But now that I'm on vacation this week, I am posting everywhere!!! Add me to the wanderer club!

Welcome!

Happy New Year to all! I on vacation in Fl & it has been very cool, weather should go up today and of course when we leave.

Enjoy you're vacation:wizard:
Great name - The Wanderer's Club. Kind of an on-line version of the now defunct Explorer's Club that I've heard so much about but never got to visit.

Karen

It is a great name !

Happy New Year's everyone!

I'm hoping with the lack of communication that you are all very busy (positively) greeting the new year.

Things are busy around here, but that always comes with a new school semester!

Hi fellow wanderers - still recuperating from the holidays. I just got all the Christmas decorations packed up and put away. Now it's time to clean out all the closets and storage areas. Too much stuff...too little time.

None of our stuff made it to New Years... the decorations were packed away by the 30th and I have a cargo area full of donations that I need to drop off - had to make room for the new stuff!

That's how we are! I love putting up the decos in Nov but I am ready to get it down after Christmas and have my house back!

We had to get our passports today and expedite them. OUCH!! But one step closer and not a moment too soon!

You guys have to get passports to move? WOWZA! I would assume since you guys are on base that it should be enough! What a stinker!

Hi Wanderers! Just passing through and giving a shout out :)

I have been lurking, but not posting much since last week. Somehow I developed an abscess on my hip and ended up in surgery last Thursday. Not a fun way to begin 2011! :sad1:

We didn't need the passport to get into Canada but we did need it to get back into the U.S. is what we were told. Better safe than sorry so we bought them!

Thanks natenapril and you are right--you can get into Canada without a passport, but getting back into the U.S. is a bear--it can be done, but it will be much easier with a passport. How do I know this you ask? Our daughter's boyfriend is a student in the U.P. and he along with some cohorts crossed the border without passports. Not a problem until they tried to return. . .they did get back in by pleading ignorance, but not without a thorough search. :scared1: He now has a passport.

I find it quite ironic! We have traveled the Alcan a few times but we were under the old laws of just needing military orders. That changed in 2007 or 2008 though.

So tomorrow is going to be a tough day that I am dreading. My oldest dog whom I have had since he was 6 weeks and I was 19, is going to the vet to be checked up on what the vet thinks may be bone cancer. He is a 12 year old Golden retriever who has been a great friend and I am not ready to lose him.
On top of that my dad who just went through 6 months of chemo for leukemia is going back to the oncologist tomorrow for some lumps that seem to be a concern to his doctor. Really hoping it's just bumps and not "bad" lumps.

Here's hoping the New Year doesn't start out as bad as it seems it might right now:scared1:

Hi everyone I just found your thread and yes I am a jumper with no particular home. I have not made any friends here either and I do admit I bud my 2 cents in every now and then. My DD told me to check out community I just wanted to say Hi.

Hi jking6--nice to meet you. . . this isn't the most active thread, but it hasn't died yet! :rotfl:

thank you

Well, what's the diagnosis natenapril??

How's your big sweetie??

So it wasn't good. He has cancer, hip dyspalcia, and glaucoma. Right now I amde the decision to put him on a high dose of pain meds but I'm pretty sure it was the wrong choice.

Poor guy. I remember when my old landlord was going through that with the dog she had had since college. It was a sad, sad day when she decided to go ahead and put her down. I even cried.

Happy Thursday Wanderers. . .I really got nothing for ya', but wanted to bump this back up and keep it in our view. :lmao:

The only thing happening with me right now is trying to work through whether to add a June Disney trip with our kids. Last year we told them it was absolutely the last year we would be paying, but airfare is great ($128), hotel rooms at Swan very reasonable, and Ron/I have APs that are burning a hole in my pocket. :confused3

Aside from that, October is a long way off and I'm in need of something nearer to look forward to with this crappy weather. :cool1:

What's up with y'all?
