Illuminations?????

Did anyone else go to the Illuminations performance on May 30?

We did, and were quite disappointed to notice that there were no flames at all during the show- other than the torches. We've seen the show too many times to count, and it's our favorite!! However, I'd love to hear that they had some sort of malfunction. I'd hate to think that they're removing the PUNCH from the spectacle now.

Any thoughts or information would be appreciated...........

Thank goodness we didn't go that night-we went to Eride night at the MK. Went 5/26 and 5/28. I can't imagine it without the flames-nothing coming out of the globe?

Wasn't there then, but just went to Illuminations yesterday; lots of flames; yours must have been a malfunction.

We'll be there again this weekend, and I wanted to make sure that this wasn't a "new and improved" version of Illuminations....

Depending on what the wind conditions that are inside the world showcase lagoon., the "Chaos" scene will not produce the flames showing the creation of Earth. Trust me I have seen the show over 1,000 times and I can tell when the Show has is mess ups. Even when other people can't

When I was down on my college program (spring '02), they did not use the flame barge for a month or two so that they could refurbish it, it did make a big diffrence in the overall effectiveness of the show. But, since the show runs nightly, i guess it could easly be forgivin if it dosent work a night or two

Last night (6/9/03) the Flame Barge was working fine.
BUT, the globe had problems, at first only N America was lit, then the lower part of Africa was flickering, then it went out completely.

It seemed like they tried to reset it once, but it didn't reboot.
