Illuminations ?

We will be going on the Illuminations cruise leaving from the BC/YC. What is the best way to get back to the POLY after the cruise is over?

I am going to think maybe a cab is best. If earlier, a bus to MK then monorail to Poly, but too late to go to MK. If not a cab, I would say a bus to DtD, then another from there to the Poly.

I am sure others will give some good input. You might also ask this on the Transportation board, as it would also fit topically there as well as here on the Theme park board (being both an attraction and transportation question).

We took an illuminations cruise in October. After the cruise, they dropped us off at the boat dock just outside of the International gateway at Epcot. We cut back through Epcot, took a liesurely stroll around the countries. It was nice as everyone else was making a bee line to leave. It was also nice as it was cool being one of the few people walking around the countries at night. By the time we made it back to the Epcot monorail, we had no wait back to TTC and then a resort monorail back to the Poly.

The cruise returns you to the dock of your choice after Illuminations ends. There may be a little wait as all boats need to leave one at a time- also maybe a slight delay if the resort boats need to dock at Epcot. Don't forget you can also take a resort bus to the TTC and walk to the Poly- there is a pathway that is a nice walk.

We just did one and it was fabulous! Our skipper was Scott and he was great! We were planning to take a cab from the YC back to Pop. Scott offered to take us to the dock at MGM (it was EMH that night there) and we could catch a Pop bus there. He told us if we went back through Epcot it would be a long crowded walk. So that is what we did! He was super nice!

Don't forget you can also take a resort bus to the TTC and walk to the Poly- there is a pathway that is a nice walk.

There are no resort buses that go to TTC (except Shades of Green and DTD hotels). All resort buses for MK go directly to the front of MK.

The Park-to-Park buses that run between DAK and MK, and MGM and MK do terminate at TTC.

Arrive and check-in at Bayside Marina at 8pm
Depart between 8:10 and 8:15-ish
IllumiNations starts promptly at 9pm
Lasts about 12 minutes
You should be back at the dock by 9:20-ish
