what restaurant (that is not in Epcot) can we eat at that we will be able to see illuminations from? Can we see them from Boardwalk or Beach/Yacht Club?

Thanks so much in advance.

I'm sorry, I don't think you can see Illuminations from the Boardwalk or the YC/BC. You may be able to see some of the higher fireworks from the YC/BC, but not the majority of the show.

Outside tables at the Rose and Crown (TS) or the Cantina (CS) outside Mexico. Some of Illuminations( only the real high sky shots) can be viewed from the BW/YC/BC, but if you want the whole experience, you need to be in the park.

I would recommend Rose and Crown or for CS, cantina de san angel. You must book early for Rose and Crown (around 6:45 or 7pm) and request a slow meal or for Cantina, get there at about 7:30 for a table.

If you eat at a Boardwalk restaurant, you can watch the show from the end of the Boardwalk down near the dance hall. You can either ask your server if it's okay to zip out, or you can arrange your meal to make the timing work out.

You can also see the fireworks from the beach at Swan and Dolphin, although not as well. There are a bunch of restaurants there, pick one that suits your fancy. http://www.swandolphin.com/

Do keep in mind that if you go the Rose and Crown route, you have a 30% chance of getting a table with a good view of the show (and a 70% chance of having to go to a viewing area where you can stand and watch the show).

Bear in mind that Illuminations takes place on the lagoon in Epcot, and can only be seen from inside the park. It's not like Wishes, which is a fireworks show and can be seen clearly outside MK. You may see some of the higher Illuminations fireworks from locations outside Epcot, but you'll miss the images projected on the globe, and the music, water, fire and lighting effects.

The only restaurants that provide a clear view of Illuminations are Rose & Crown in the UK, and the Cantina in Mexico.

I had to take a 7:45 ADR for LeCellier, do you think we'll be done in time to catch Illuminations?

That was part of the reason I made an ADR inside the park. DH isn't big on going back to the park in the evenings so the only evening we spent in a park last year was the first night when we went to watch the parade and fireworks in MK on our arrival day. So this year I did the fantasmic pkg and LeCellier so we would be back in the park in the evening time on those two nights as well as the night we do MVMCP. The other nights we will go back to the resort after dinner.

It is unlikely that you'll be done with dinner in time to catch Illuminations if it is being presented at 9PM, unless you rush.

Well I guess I'll have to try to call back and get lucky with an earlier time. Or we'll just get there early and check in and maybe we'll get lucky. We did last year at Chef Mickey's. We were up and dressed so we went on over to CR and checked in about 30 min early for our ADR. They were crowded and there were lots of people waiting but they were larger parties. We got lucky and they had a table for three almost right away.
