Illuminations Viewing Spots

What are some of the best places to view Illumination in World Showcase? We already have an ADR for Rose & Crown our last night there as our farewell to WDW, but I've heard that if the wind is sending the smoke your way, it can really put a damper on the show, so I want to be sure and see Illuminations another time so I don't miss the show.

Cross the bridge from Great Britain to France (the English Channel ). There are some steps down to a courtyard. We actually sit on the steps (stadium seating, it's not... but it works). My mother said that she likes the area by Japan.

There are tons of others. The bridge itself is good, but you have to get there early a lot of times.

Staying away from the wind is a good idea because the show generates a lot of smoke.

I personally like to watch it from future world, whatever spot I can find near the water. All the views are good, but from future world you can get a very good view when they light up the different countries. And not just that, on the way out of the park, you are ahead of everyone who has seen the show from the world showcase.

Our favorite viewing location is the boat dock in front of Italy. A lot of times parts of this will be roped off for a private event, but you usually can still find a good place over there.

I will agree with the others, though-- anywhere the wind is blowing towards you is not a good spot, as much of the show will be obscured by fireworks smoke.
