IllumiNations ressies???

My 90 day out to make ressies for Illuminations and CRT are coming up. I know that you have to call right at 7a for CRT and it books up by 7:05a. Do they book up that quick for the cruises also? Will I have to have someone else on another line call for those also, or can I be a bit more relaxed for the cruise ressie? Thanks!

In 2000, 12 of us DISers got together for an Illuminations cruise. I wasn't the organizer, but the gal who called for reservations had no trouble booking our cruise on the exact date. Perhaps she'll read this post and give a response! As for CRT ressies, we had three people calling at the same time for our Mother's Day PS and only one of us got it.

I think the Illumination Cruises are getting very popular and with only five (I think) boats available, you had better be quick with the dialing.

We had 2 phones going at 6:59. Did not get the cruise for our first date (was on hold until 7:07). Tried again for our second date and got through at 6:59ish. I didn't even let her finish her sentence... told her exactly what I wanted and got it! I also believe that these are very popular and there are only 5 boats and many of us trying. My advice is to start calling on as many phones as you can and have alternate dates if you can't get one on the first day you want.

It took me three days. Call at around 3mins before 7:00 don't wait till 7 because you might not get through. The fiorst two days i mised it by one call. It was easier to make the mk cruise so I booked that first then canceled it once I got my Illuminations cruise. Ask for Captain Ron. He was wonderful. I hope you are lucky enough to get one. It was truly magical! Gina

I have one for our upcoming Feb trip. I was lucky enough to book on my first try (it was a Saturday when I called), however, I was on the phone by 6:55am, and kept hitting redial. I was off the phone and back in bed by 7:01. Total cost in long-distance fees - $10, the look on my kids face when they see IllumiNations from the boat - priceless!!

I am getting very excited. It will be my DH, my three DD's, and I and also our friends with their daughter. This will be the first time ever seeing it, and I wanted to do it this way. I will be so incredibly upset if we can't get the cruise, so thank you for letting me know how fast they go. I was so concened with CRT that I didn't think the cruise would be as important.

We didn't have any problems getting ours, but we called right away. I don't think I'd chance not calling on the first day possible in the morning.

It definately has gotten more popular...If you want to do it better to call and start redailing prior to 7am if you want to do it...

Jeff is the best captain (his boat is out of the boardwalk)....

One more thing I booked my cruise also on the weekend. It was a Sunday. They say less people get up to call on the weekends. Hope this helps. Gina
