Can anyone tell me if Illumination can be viewed from outside the gates at Epcot? I was thinking we could take the monorail over and watch from the outside so we don't waste our hopper for just that show the first day we get there. What do you think?
thanks

The monorail leaves you at the front of Epcot.....Future World. I really don't think you can see much, if anything, of Illuminations from that side of the park. I have read that you can see some of the fireworks from the bridge that connects the Epcot side to the Boardwalk side past the International Gateway. To get there without using a park ticket you would have to take the bus to the Disney Studios. You can then walk or boat over to the Boardwalk area. The bridge is past the ESPN Club.

I agree with the previous response. I've never attempted to see Illum from there but I can picture it in my mind and I can't imagine a view to anything going on at the lagoon from there. I know that from the Epcot resort area just outside the park (Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk, etc.) you can only see the high fireworks. You can't see the globe or the low firworks and lights. You can not even hear the music from there either.
