Illuminations in the U.K. from Fish Shop

Has anybody seen Illuminations from the Yorkshire County Fish shop seating area in the U.K. at EP? How early did you have to show up and how was the view? Any pictures?

The view is great.
So good that the area is often closed to regular guests and used by Disney for private parties.

It is very hard area to access to view Illuminations.Does't take long to check out,you might get lucky.

As Robo says, it is a great view. But it is virtually everyday closed off for a private event come around 6/7pm. There is talk of this area being extended to to accommodate extra tables and chairs for up to an extra 80 guests due to guest complaints about the lack of seating space for the fish and chip shop.

However, next to the restaurant there is a larger seating area (in between the beer cart and podium for the restaurant check in, walk down the path and make a left to access it) where you can sit and eat your fish and chips from. This area is never closed off for private events.

My advice for seeing Illuminations no matter what time of year is to go to the back of World Showcase - from Germany to Morocco. You can usually get a good spot just fifteen minutes before the show starts. It's easier because it's not at the front of the park where people want to be for easy exit. However, we've enjoyed Illuminations from the back of the park and then slowly made our way to the front (with a bathroom stop) for over ten years and we've never been stranded or had to wait more than ten minutes for transportation back to our resort.

This is our favourite sot to view Illuminations from actually. Most people think it is part of the restaurant, though it is not. We typically get there around an hour before the show. Grab some pints and fish & chips and have good conversations with others waiting for the show.

One thing to remember is there is only seating for about 30 people there and the tables do not move. The chairs do, but the tables are mounted into the concrete. The best spot is obviously against the wall as you are guaranteed an unobstructed view of the show.
