We were planning on seeing Illuminations the first evening we get to WDW (Sun march 9) and I see in the 15 day forcast there is a chance of rain that night. I'am not going to panic, I realise a forcast can change, but what is the cancellation policy on Illuminations when it rains, does it go on reguardless, or depends on how heavy of rain?

i believe that it goes on unless there is high winds. when we booked an illuminations cruise, the captain told me he had a group the week before in a downpour with freezing temps. (not acutally 32 degrees, just really cold)

Illuminations usually goes on regardless of the rain or the wind. However, if there are repeated lightening stricks within 6 miles then it will be cancelled.

Illuminations is rarely cancelled, Fantasmic is cancelled for rain, though.

We could see Illuminations from our balcony at BWV in December (at least the high fireworks). There were 2 nights when it was raining heavily and they still had them. The 2nd night we noticed that the smoke really hung in the air, I guess due to the humidity.
