Illuminations Fast Pass +

It was great for us. It is on the FW side on the lagoon between the 2 shops. We got there 15 minutes before the show and easily got a front row spot on the rail. It was a food and wine Saturday night (Oct. 5) so the park was crowded, but there were not that many people in the FP+ area. We loved it.

That said, I would not have been happy if that area was packed in like sardines. I've heard there have been nights it was crowded in there and people that got there long before we did our night were several rows back from the rail and couldn't see. It is not seated- everyone stands for the show. Everyone pretty much sits on the ground until the show starts though.

So...I guess it is a matter of luck and/or how many people do FP+ for it that night, or how many WDW decides it is going to make available.

Well the night we are going is also Candlelight Processional and that sounds like the area they send you to for preferred seating with the dinning deal. So...I guess it is going to be very crowded that night. :confused3
Does anyone know for sure?

We used it last Saturday, primarily because we expected heavy crowds and thought this would help. We loved it! We weren't between the twin gift shops, but behind one of them (the one on the right, looking at the lagoon). I thought the view was great, especially up the tiny slope against the gift shop doors. It wasn't crowded at all in there - especially for a Saturday night of Food and Wine Festival.

Very happy we made this choice! I would do it again. But I have heard it isn't always in this location.
