Hi does any know the cost of a UK upper and lower terrace - IllumiNations dessert party? Do you have to have lots of guests to do this? Or is it possible to just have an intimate affair?

Here is what i have been quoted for our dessert hope it helps...
Menu is $25.00 per person + 20% gratuity and 6.5% sales tax; you will need 1 event guide per 50 people @ $90 each. There is also an illuminations viewing fee (unless your guests all have park tickets) which is $12.50 each + 6.5% tax. the only thing left is transportation, which we have as a carryover from the wedding, so i am not sure how much that would be, but you could always just go with regular free disney transportation. ours was budgeted for 100 people and is coming in at $4,706.25!! ouch!! so we have to find a way to shave things off the rest of the day, or hope some (alot!) of people want to go back to their rooms instead of the dessert party- which would cut the cost drastically! I am having a dessert party for 10 people at the Morocco terrace and it is costing us $440. $17.50 per person, plus soda & bottled water on consumption (at $3.25 and $3.75 each), $90 event guide, $50 small party fee. 20% service fee and 6.25% tax. We are having the "For the Child in You" dessert selection which is the cheapest. We are making our guests use their park hoppers, so we aren't being charged the viewing fee

Mufasa - you were able to secure an Illuminations party with only 10 people? I was under the impression that there was a 20 person minimum for the parties. We have been looking for something to do for our guests the night before, but ruled out Illuminations because we thought it was 20 ppl + and we only have 15-18. Can you give me some specifics on your menu and such? That would be great if we were able to do the Illuminations party.

I was offered 3 locations: Morocco terrace, Japan terrace, and Italy West Wing (I think). The Italy West Wing requires a plant wall be built-for $2000. Because there is a 20 person minimum, I am being charged the $50 small party fee. We are having the "For the Child in You" dessert selection which is 17.50 pp, but there are other selections you can choose for 22.50 and 25.50. They also have options you can add, like a bar package and additional desserts, but we are going the cheapest route. We are just having water and soda added to ours. If you want to look into it, I asked my EM about doing a dessert party and she put me in touch with event catering. Here are the menus:

When did you book your desert party? I was under the impression that if you were having a small party(intamate wedding etc) you could only book 3 months in advance.

Hmmm, I think I booked 2 or 3 weeks ago, so about 9 moths ahead of time. I sent my deposit in last week.

Did anyone get the price for the bride and groom strawberries? We are having a dessert reception too and we didn't get a price for that item in our packet. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

we had a dessert party at the UK terrace and it's a lot of fun. everything that everyone has told you so far is correct. it's a great view to watch Illuminations. the dessert package that we had was the old world classics. DELICIOUS!! everyone loved the desserts and had a good time. though there was quite a bit left over, the woman at the dessert party was kind enough to let us pack up the food and take it with us back to the hotel, including the left over lemonade and extra cups! and we use those cups til this day! it's worth it to have the dessert party at the UK. it's away from the crowds, intimate and private and most of all, a lot of fun. you'll enjoy it greatly.
