We're trying to book an Illuminations Cruise for the end of August and it's already booked. Somewhere, I saw a board where people can list dates they have booked and are willing to share. Anyone now where I can find such a thing? Also, it is worth it?

You need to check under "Theme Park Attractions and Strategies" on this website. The Illuminations is at EPCOT. There is a thread there about sharing the cruises.
