illuminations cruise

Hello,
Does anyone have experience with the illumination's cruise?
We want to go for my 7 year old's upcoming birthday and wanted to bring our own cake. $100.00 is a lot for cake and balloons. Has anyone brought there own food and drinks (like wine or beer)?

We went on an Illuminations cruise in August and instead of getting the birthday cruise for the cake and snacks, my mom called private dining at the Yacht Club and they sent a cake down to the boat for our cruise. It was like $30.00 or something and they still decorated the boat a bit. Not as much as they did for the "real" birthday cruise, but it was still really nice. Just call the Yacht Club and ask for private dining and they will take care of the rest. Just make sure you have your cruise info when you call.

We always bring our own snacks and drinks....just remember to not tie yourself down to just the date that you plan to celebrate the birthday...illuminations ressies are very hard to come by....this past time we had 5 people dialing in 2 different states...but we were fortunate....

It's a really fun evening...
