Hi. We have an Illuminations Cruise booked leaving from the BC/YC. Do we park over at the YC and go over to the marina? Is it all accessible???
The CM told me that the cruise is wheelchair accessible but I am nervous, is it a ramp that my DD will get on or how do they do it? Any advice or suggestions????
Thanks

We have been on it several times with the DW's powerchair without problems. What they do is pull in sideways and have people get on that side of the boat and lower it to dock height. They say they can get a ramp but we have never needed them to. Enjoy it.

Do you know if this applies to ECV's as well? We are taking my dad to WDW for his first trip in 10 years and we have rented an ECV for him. He doesn't normally use an ECV, but he is overweight with a bad knee and doesn't normally walk very long distances at all. We have an Illuminations cruise booked and I am trying to figure out how this will work, if he can take the ECV on the boat or if there is a safe place to leave it on the dock, or even inside the YC or BC, though even going from those locations to the end of the dock where the boat picks up would be a long walk for him.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone has! I read the FAQ's and I have the PassPorter Special Needs book (my son is autistic) but I didn't see anything in either of those that addressed specialty cruises and ECV users.

Just drive the ECV up to the boat and walk on, it would be to hard to drive one on with no experence. They will leave it on the side of the dock and no one will mess with it. And enjoy.

Be sure to take the key with you when you leave the ECV.

We have not been on an Illuminations cruise, but have seen pictures of the boat. It is a pontoon boat.
