Can anyone tell me if they have done the illuminations cruise with a wheelchair? Is it possible. DS can be carried into the boat and can sit if need be . Also while on the subject how would it be with a baby???? (13 months?)

We have not been on an Illuminations cruise, so hopefully someone who has can answer. I have been told that they are fairly large pontoon boats.
You do NOT want to get the boat called the Breathless though. It is a restored 1950-60s wooden speed boat and is not handicapped accessible.

Yes, we did it last year with a friend's father in a wheelchair, no problems, the chair folded up and went in the corner, if the chair won't fold would imagine there would still be room for it though. The girl driving the boat was very helpful. It was Jock's 81st birthday, and after the fireworks she took us round to see the end of Fantasmic from the water - brilliant. Only problem with the baby might be if the wind is in the wrong direction and it gets smoky.
