Illuminations cruise timing question

We have a 6:15pm ADR for Teppanyaki on October 16th. Will we be able to make it to the BC/YC marina by 8:15pm for our Illuminations cruise?

In the past, we have waited about 15 minutes for a table and it took about an hour to eat. So, we should still be done by 7:30 or 7:45 at the latest, leaving 30 minutes+ to get to the marina. This should be enough time, right?

Yes, it should be enough time. But if you want to be safe, move your ADR to an earlier time, or show up about half an hour early at Teppanyaki.

I don't think it's a problem if you are slightly late. We were around 15 minutes late for our cruise last year (the taxi driver got lost!!) and the captain was very understanding.
Of course it meant we had 15 minutes less cruising on the lovely Breathless before the fireworks started but we had a great time.

Just to be sure, take this number 407-934-3823, that's Bayside Marina's direct line. I would call at 8pm and let them know at the marina what is going on. Check in is at 8pm, some boats will start to depart at 8:15pm, so the remaining drivers will welcome the update.

I don't think it's a problem if you are slightly late.

Or it COULD be a BIG problem.

I have read posts here from folks who walked by the dock around 8:15pm and got a FREE "IllumiNations Cruise." Since the person who books the trip is responsible for cancelling it with enough advance warning, OR... they will be CHARGED for the cruise... nobody "showed" by the time the boat must leave, so the lucky passers-by where invited by the captain to cruise with him at no charge!

Wow.

So DO make a call to the marina (407-934-3823) if you're running at all late.
