Where would be a good place stand. I have a daughter with severe migraines, if we get a good day but have not gone in a park that day we are looking for a location to stand so she can see this. I hate to buy a park ticket, start out in the am and then she is sick after two hours in a park and ends up in bed for rthe rest of the day. Is there an entrance near the world showcase to stand?

If you don't want to pay to enter Epcot, the International Gateway entrance area is the best place from which to watch Illuminations.

If you stand on the bridge that connects the Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin, and Boardwalk, you can see the fireworks, and sometimes you can hear the music. It's a nice spot to watch it.

If you don't want to pay to enter Epcot, the International Gateway entrance area is the best place from which to watch Illuminations.

If you walk up to the International gateway (from the Beach Club or the Boardwalk) get up pretty close you will be able to see some of it. It really is something you have to be near the edge of the Lake to see everything... but from there you may even be able to hear the sound track which would also enhance the experience.

You will be able to see the higher fireworks from many places - as far away as even CBR on the beach in front of the food court area.
Much of the show takes place on the water or just above it. Those are the things you won't really be able to see without going into the park.
But, if you can get somewhere you can hear the music, you'll at least get a taste of the show.

When I stayed at Pop Century, Building C 1950's, I could watch the fireworks from the rail outside my room. I could also see part of WISHes

We stayed at the Grand Floridian, and we had a great view of Illuminations! We could watch the whole thing and take pictures. We also had a great view of the castle and Wishes. We had a corner room on the third floor.

Illuminations is one of the hardest to see outside the parks... Anywhere you go you are not going to see all the fireworks, but it will be a good show . The Yacht and Beach Club walkway is a good place to watch it.

We watched it once from area of The Boardwalk just outside of Jellyroll's. We sat on the benches along the railing facing the water. Except for the low fireworks, you could see most of the show. The reflections off of the water were nice too.

Thats the best place to stand, we stood there once and even saw some of the ball. I think they even play the music close to that area.
