Heading to DW end of October...Haven't seen Illuminations in a while...I believe we always viewed it from the entrance to World Showcase...any other suggestions???

Most anywhere around the lagoon is good. Most people agree on one thing, try not to be downwind. If you are, the smoke and some fireworks fallout may temper your experience. Also make sure there are one of the several islands in the lagoon between you and the middle of the lagoon.

A favorite area of ours is between the Mexico and Norway pavilions.

My best view was after a well timed dinner at the Rose & Crown, the view from their terrace was perfect.

Yup watch the wind direction.....that being said Japan....lots of steps to get a head above the crowd, if your small. but go early.

We did this 2 years...the first year we almost choked on our drinks when a firework launched from about 10 feet away.....we had no idea they would be that close......

Quite a great view.....VERY hard to snag it.

There are a lot of good spots. My absolute favorite is Italy if there isn't a private event being held there. You have a direct view of Spaceship Earth from there and if the MK fireworks are going off at the same time, you can see them too! Norway has a good spot as well.

I am loving all these spots because I never know if I have a good one. Thanks

In your living room, with your laptop, on Youtube.. Granted, I just really dont like Illuminations, so may be a bit jaded. :D Other family members like it, so we are going to try the Mexican joint that takes reservations and try to get a window seat later this month..

Interesting...where is this in Italy?

Our favorite viewing spot is right there at the entrance to the World Showcase, near the twin gift shops.

Why? Simply because usually by then, we've been in the parks for hours and are getting tired. It's the closest spot for us to return to the tram to get back to our car, because by then we're often moving like :snail:

During our many years of visiting the BWI we would view Illuminations on the bridge between UK and France. Right above where the Illumination cruise boats would sit. It was a good viewing location and a quick exit out the International Gateway at the end of the show.

The bridge between the UK and France. Between Mexico and Norway. Italy (if no private event is being held).

My parents like the bridge between the UK and France, but I find during the holidays that is usually the direction of the wind. I like the east side of Germany before the African outpost. There are some benches and you can get a beer or a pretzel to have during the show. Also, the location in Germany is about as far from either exit, so it is usually not too packed back there. I usually stay at the Boardwalk, so it is a nice leisurely walk back and I don't feel rushed.

The bridge between UK and France sounds good as we are staying at the BCV!

I always like getting the fastpass for Illuminations. It's right near the entrance of World Showcase, but it's between the two shops. Very good and unobstructed view. I always get my fastpasses at EPCOT during the morning, and by the afternoon, there are still fastpasses available for Illuminations. In the afternoon, I always spend that time in World Showcase, so I usually don't need a fastpass after the morning hours.

We like Mexico, just a little way down from the QS restaurant. We had a great view and were able to beat alot of the crowd out. I also had a great spot in Germany before. The key is just pick a spot early, get a snack and set up camp. And don't be afraid to fight off all of those people who want to walk up 10 mins before the show and push in next to you after you have been sitting there for an hour and a half! >:(

We like watching from the bridge by France and U.K. It's a good view and we usually stay at BWso it's also a quick and easy exit to boats or walkway to resort.

Exactly my thoughts. Last trip we walked out of the Biergarten at about 8:55 and there was no one back there.
