HI,

My siblings and I want to plan an Illuminations Dessert Party for our parents 60th anniversary. Does anyone have a list or a link to the venues, how many people they hold and the price for the venues? We are going to have about 36 people. We need a venue with seats or a place we can bring tables and chairs to as several people will be elderly. Also how much will it cost to add tables and chairs? Thank you so much for any information you can give us!

My siblings and I want to plan an Illuminations Dessert Party for our parents 60th anniversary. For 36 people, you can be at Canada overlook, uk lochside, uk terrace, rue de Paris, or Italy isola west plaza. Uk terrace has tables already there. Each of these venues has a $250 rental fee. They all have $85 setup fees except for uk terrace, which already has tables and chairs. Te setup fee covers the cost of bringing in tables. If you need actual seating place, then you're limited to uk terrace (seating and tables) or uk lochside (existing benches, but tables brought in). I don't think they usually bring in chairs for dessert parties, but you should probably ask. It sounds like uk terrace would be the best fit for you. It holds 20-50. There is also a food and beverage minimum, but with 36 people, you'll easily surpass it.

Help me out with this. Number one, any locations that I could book for 8? My Disney wedding planner told me that you can't wear your wedding attire into the parks yet I saw someone in her gown at illuminations. What's the deal?

Bonsai terrace in Japan and uk pubside have maximum occupancy of ten.

If you arrange your dessert party through dftw and on your wedding or vow renewal day, you can wear your dress in the park. However, you will need an escort from international gateway or use Disney transportation to bring you from backstage. I am uncertain if the bridal party can be escorted from the main entrance.

I attended an illuminations party with an open bar and they set up chairs for all of us.... I'm sure that you can add chairs and the locations. Just call!

We had our DP at UK Lochside for 60 people. You can do as few as 20 there I think. There are a few benches along the water and the they brought in high boy cocktail tables and rounds with chairs for our guests. Plenty of space to move, plenty of seats for those who wanted to sit.

You can only wear a wedding dress if the DP is planned through DFTW and it's your wedding day. You must use chartered transportation and you cannot be escorted from the gate if you're in a wedding dress, for safety reasons. It will only count toward your DFTW minimum expenditure if its held on your wedding day.

You can be escorted to your DFTW-arranged dessert party on foot in your wedding gown for certain venues, usually those closest to International Gateway. For example, I walked in to UK Lochside in my gown with an event guide. Venues that DFTW considers too far from IG to walk require you to pay for backstage transportation for the bride if she wants to wear her gown.

Also, just to clarify, when you pay a setup fee for a venue, it includes tables AND chairs.
