Hello to all you out there in Dis world! This is my first pre trip report, and I want to say how awesome it's been reading everyone else's TRs and PTRs. . . otherwise how would I pass my time between Disney trips? It would be impossible and also depressing. Anyway, I'm Carrie, I'm obsessed with Disney, and I'm going to be back in 20 days!!!!!!! What? I can't believe it! I also can't believe it's going by soooo slowly. So a little bit about me - I just graduated from veterinary school, I'm working as an intern, and my life is super busy right now. The first time that I went to Disney was when I was around 4, and my sister was 1, and my parents took us for a day trip to Disneyland. The one thing I remember the most from that trip was the Main Street Electrical Parade, but It's A Small World also sticks out in my mind! The one thing my mom remembers from that trip is losing our brand new camcorder! At the end of a long day of filming my sister's and my first trip ever to a Disney park, my mom left the camcorder on a bench, and it was no where to be found after that. She still feels soooo horrible about it!
So this year is rough not only because my schedule is really busy, and I'm mostly working emergency, but I'm also apart from my boyfriend, Mark! He is half way across the country this year, staying with his family, and working in the medical field as well. The good thing is that we are saving up money, but the bad thing is that we dont get to be together. So, whats the opposite of that? Spending money and being together! What better place to do this than Disney World?! Luckily I have a good chunk of time off in early November. Once I found out that this coincides with the Disney Free Dining Plan, as well as the beginning of the Disney Christmas Decorations, AND the Food and Wine Festival, I decided we couldn't NOT go! I've never seen Disney during Christmas, or F&W, or stayed on site, or had a dining plan, so I think this trip is pretty much going to blow me away!
This is me during our trip in March 2012.
This is Mark, very excited waiting for rope drop at Magic Kingdom!!
Trip details:
Dates - November 10-16, 2012.
Resort - Pop Century
Dining - Upgraded from the free quick-service plan to the Disney Dining Plan!
We will be flying out of our respective airports, and meeting at MCO. I arrive about 3 hours before Mark, so I'll have tons of time to explore the Disney Store there, and find the Magical Express! Maybe I'll even hop on a bus, just to see how the seats feel. Then maybe I'll even ride it for a bit, just to see. Then maybe I'll get off at the Magic Kingdom, and ride a few rides, then go back to MCO and meet Mark! Haha jk, but it would be super tempting right? I watched the Muppet Movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and you know when Amy Adams' character is leaving her school to go on her road trip to California, and she looks so cute in her dress, and she sings "Life's a Happy Song", and she's so excited for the trip in front of her? I want that to be me. I want to dress up, curl my hair, and wear a head band, and heels, then dance & sing as I am leaving for my trip! I'm sure if I call MCO I can have them choreograph something and organize it with their workers for that day.
