Tell you what, if you want snow, why don't you come on up to Iowa? We should have another 4 inches or so by tomorrow. My kids will put on a parade for you and there are dancing lights at the courthouse. And just so your tickets don't go to waste, I'll go to Disney for you

i've heard 9:00, 9:15 and 9:45, so who knows! i think it's random or maybe based on how busy they think that day will be. i think anna and i have pretty much decided we're gonna try for 9:00 rope drop though!

Very interesting possibilities about the new Night Park. How cool. I would have to save big time to afford it. I think it would sell out very fast. I would much rather them add another park that everyone could go to. It does sound facinating.

You both looked so fancy last night. The food looked yummy. (they probably thought you were weird taking pics of the food)

AK Sunday, it doesn't get any better. The tree with the lions on it is so nice. Make sure you take lots of pics of the Jingle Jungle Parade! I can't wait to see.

yeah, i would have to save big time, too. i was kinda hoping they'd do a villians themed park with thrill rides but i guess it's not to be, at least in the near future anyway. i tend to dis longer than i need to, too!

i know what you mean! when i first watched peter pan i thought it could really happen.
i thought you could go away with peter pan and never grow up and fly. and i was disapointed when he never came. D:

anyway, yes, i've read the book. it's kind of weird how different he is. in the book he is supposed to look around six years old, and still have his baby teeth!

oh, btw. there is a really cool book called peter and the shadow thieves. there is also a sequel, and another one after that. it is sooo interesting. it goes into detail about why everything happened. like how the crocodile got there, how captain hook came to be, etc.


AND, there is an actual official sequel to the book peter pan. it's not as good as the first one, though.

You and Ray look so nice all dolled up for your night out! LOL about the food porn. I wanted to take a picture of our food when we went out for DH birthday and he thought I was crazy!

Dawn I have been MIA on the DIS for the past week or so, so I'm catching up with a bunch of posts at once. First off I loved the pictures of your Christmas decorations from your house. Your blow up Mickey outside is so cute I hope you get it fixed!

I'm really loving your installments of "this time next week," it's getting me very excited for you! (and jealous, I will just live through your trip though ) AK this time next week sounds amazing as do all the other days.

And you said that you heard Luke telling another little boy that he would bring him home treats from WDW...that's too cute!! You guys are going to have the best time.

nice to "see" you! thanks for your compliments on my decorations! i hope i don't disappoint you - a lot of you guys are living vicariously through me this trip and i'm feeling the pressure!!!

doesn't he look just like mr. incredible? what's so funny is he's a BIG guy and so when he's standing up he REALLY looks like him. they have a 4-year-old who takes after his daddy and looks like he's about 7 because he's so big!

maybe we'll be DVC members by the time DNK opens and we'll get a discount too! otherwise i'm not sure we could afford it. i'm sure it will be hard to get in during the first year!

I love Donald in his lumberjack clothes! We saw him from afar this time, but the line was long, so we didn't get pictures.

It's hard to believe you have no plans to go at all in 2009. I know taking time off to have a baby will be well worth the sacrifice, but it's still hard to imagine you not going for an entire year! You'll have to have some Disney-themed meals and get-togethers to help out a little. When you do go back, you'll have that little baby girl or boy to make all things Disney even more special than ever!

You probably will cry when you leave. Do you think you can manage a pretty cry, or do you think it will go all the way to the ugly cry? I didn't want to leave this time at all, because it will most likely be July before I'm there again. All of your good pictures just make me want to turn around and go straight back.

Wilderness Lodge is truly beautiful with its Christmas decorations. It is so warm and inviting.

I'm glad you were able to get Mickey all fixed up. I know he is happily greeting your neighbors every evening when they return home from work.

Enjoy this week of planning and preparing. It's almost time!

i told ray that donald had a christmas tree lot and that he and uncle scrooge were there and he thought that was really cool, so we're gonna try to see them. i have alotted 2 hours to meet characters in fantasyland/toontown during the party, so i hope we have the time. the main ones i'm concerned about are uncle scrooge, belle in her christmas dress and alice, etc. in their christmas clothes. other than that, anything else is a bonus. i've heard that mickey and minnie's lines are crazy at the party so i think we're gonna try to meet them at AK instead. they're wearing christmas clothes there, too.

i'm sad to not have a trip planned in the future but i know we'll be back. i just have a lot of things i need to be saving for instead of spending my money on disney right now. i plan to start spending my money on disney again, but right now i need to focus on other things or time is going to fly by me and i will look back and regret it.

i don't know if i'll have a pretty cry or an ugly one but i'm sure anna will get a picture. she's the picture queen!!!!! but it will be a bittersweet cry because i know that i'm a very lucky girl to have come to WDW three times this year!

this week will probably go by SO SLOW. i was supposed to have a deposition today at 1:00 but it cancelled, so now i'm stuck at the office all afternoon because i dropped my car off to have the oil changed and tires aligned and i have to wait for that to be done before i can go home. then tomorrow i'm not working and wednesday i will probably have a short hearing in the morning. ray doesn't get off work til 3:00 so that's fine. i wish i had long days of work today and tomorrow to make the time go by faster!

it's at 6:30. when i was making ADRs 6 months ago i was basing my schedule on last year and last year it was 5:45. so i made the kona cafe ressie for 6:20. well, now they've changed it to 6:30 so we're gonna miss it that night. i've tried to get another kona time but they're booked. but it's okay because we'll be able to see it the next night before MVMCP starts!

i think we've decided that we're gonna try to do rope drop at MK on saturday to see tink. if that doesn't work out, we'll continue to check the wait times on saturday and if nothing else we'll meet her during MVMCP on sunday night! i've heard mixed reviews of this. you guys had a good experience but i've heard others say they had to wait 2 hours for her at MVMCP. there's no way i'm doing that!

The night we saw her, we went during Holiday Wishes - the wait was under an hour for those in line. That's another strategy you could use - but then you'd have to miss the fireworks, which I'm thinking you wouldn't want to do either!

Or maybe you could try right at the time MVMCP is starting: people w/out party tix are getting kicked out; and most people with tix will just be starting to arrive. You could maybe catch a lull within all the comings and goings at the start of the party.

Punkin don't feel too sad about coming home, you havn't even left yet. A year without WDW isn't all that bad, I just did it and the year has gone by pretty fast.

Do you always order the same thing from Wolfgang Puck? The treat counter looks so good at Goofy's Candy Co!

Do you have a wish list of things you want to shop for?

Maybe you and Ray can capture some pixie dust , for luck.

Luke must be soo excitted each day he takes off another Mickey heads off his callendar.

Thanks for the castle lighting time! We are only in MK two nights..one we have dinner at Ohanas at 5:30 (we are going to try and go early) and the other, Xmas Day, we have dinner at LTT at 6:30 (may try to be 10m. late) I didn't even think about the lighting when I made my plans!!

Hey Dawn! Sorry that I disappeared for a while, but I'm back and psyched to see that you already have another pre-trip in the works. Well it's done now... I can't believe you guys leave so soon! You and Ray are going to have such a great time, and I'm so glad to see that Anna, Chris and Luke are going too. Going to Disney is great, but it's even better when you get to go with friends and family, and I remember how disappointing it was when they couldn't go on your last trip. Luke is such a cutie, I'm sure it'll be fun just getting to see his reactions to everything I hope you all have an amazing time!
