Hey Dawn!! I saw where your gonna meet Tink. Here is a little FYI......the night of MVMCP the line was over 2 hours long to meet the fairies. The next day when we went to the park we decided to go to rope drop at Toon Town. I was so glad we did! As we were waiting in line, I overheard people talking about how crowded the fairies get. We went straight to them and were like the 6 family in line. We waited maybe 10 minutes. Once we came out, the line was already over a 90 minute wait and it wasn't even 10:30 am yet!!! So, if you get the chance, get there first!

Your this time next week posts are so much fun. Only a few mores days, how exciting. I love your house decorations, and esp your Tink tree topper. That is very cute. I have been decorating my house, just the big tree to decorate. We switched to an artificial tree a few years ago, I sure don't miss the mess, but do miss the variety of trees we have had over the years. LOL, some were better than others! Have fun at WDW, can't wait for the fun trip report. Enjoy the Castle lights, they are so BEAUTIFUL.

So excited for you Dawn. We went in December when Hannah was just over one and she wore a coat at night... it was cold to be honest. Days were warmer, but no pool time for us. I wore a fleece at night. No shorts, long sleeves for the most part. The lights will be fantastic. I hope you get to check out Tinkerbell and get some awesome castle pictures.

yay.....another peter pan lover! i just love how he's so fun and i love the idea of never growing up! have you ever read the book? he's SO different than the peter pan that walt disney adapted. he's actually kind of obnoxious in the book! and yes, wendy IS a homewrecker! i dislike her even more now that i've seen tink's movie. tink is nice enough to return wendy's toy and wendy STILL takes her man a few years later!

yeah, i'm thinking we may try for rope drop. we'll see how we feel that day! i will try and remember to ask a CM about how long pixie hollow will be open. remind me to tell you when we get back! i'm thinking it will be there for awhile because i know they've got more tink movies coming out!

i know! i'm sorta packed. i've put aside everything i'm taking so i don't wear it this week before we leave. but i haven't packed a thing for ray yet. i don't know if he'll come to pixie hollow or not. if we get up and do rope drop he may just meet us later. i don't want to make him get up early if he's not interested, but if he's there he'll definitely meet her!

it was posted on timandlesley's pre-TR (thanks, guys!) and i'm really excited about it! it's about disney's rumored new theme park opening in 2011 and it sounds really cool! pricey, but cool. i'm excited that you enter the park through an adventurer's club-type place because i didn't think i'd ever see the AC again! i bet it's gonna be hard to get tickets here for the first couple of years!

okay....last topic before we get to the next installment of THIS TIME NEXT WEEK. some of you asked about my christmas party last night. it wasn't really a party - just a dinner with co-workers. it was fun! the food was SO GOOD. we went to brio tuscan grille in atlanta. here are some pics.

there were other people there but i don't want to post the pictures of ALL my co-workers! now on to the food!

i only took one food porn picture because everyone would think i was crazy. only dissers "get" the food porn pictures! we had calamari and spinach/artichoke dip for appetizers. the dip was good and the calamari was okay. i've had better calamari at pf chang's and narcoosee's! for my entree i got "tournedos di manzo" which is two 4-oz. filets with hollandaise sauce over two romano-crusted tomatoes served with tuscan mashed potatoes and asparagus......YUMMY!

(i didn't use flash as not to be obnoxious with my food porn!)

i only ate one of the filets and i was full. they were SO good! that was the best hollandaise sauce i've ever had.

ray got shrimp and crab cakes with potatoes brio (some sort of roasted potatoes). his was really good too! he wouldn't let me take a picture of the food so i took a picture of him eating it!

for dessert they have those individual tiny desserts that i love because it's not so HUGE that you can't even put a dent in it. i got brown sugar creme brulee and ray got caramel creme brulee and both were so yummy!

okay...so that was last night. now it's time for..........

on sunday next week we will wake up and head to.....

we will have breakfast here....

with some of our old friends!

(again, i don't know who these people are, but i'll leave it to memom to make up names for them!)

then we will ride some of our favorite rides!

and see some really cool animals.....

we will perhaps take in a show or two....

and maybe have a late lunch here.....

then we will get a spot for the jingle jungle parade!

we will then say goodbye to AK and head elsewhere. stay tuned for part 2 coming up later today!

Very interesting possibilities about the new Night Park. How cool. I would have to save big time to afford it. I think it would sell out very fast. I would much rather them add another park that everyone could go to. It does sound facinating.

You both looked so fancy last night. The food looked yummy. (they probably thought you were weird taking pics of the food)

AK Sunday, it doesn't get any better. The tree with the lions on it is so nice. Make sure you take lots of pics of the Jingle Jungle Parade! I can't wait to see.

i know what you mean! when i first watched peter pan i thought it could really happen.
i thought you could go away with peter pan and never grow up and fly. and i was disapointed when he never came. D:

anyway, yes, i've read the book. it's kind of weird how different he is. in the book he is supposed to look around six years old, and still have his baby teeth!

you think wendy would have some respect,

oh, btw. there is a really cool book called peter and the shadow thieves. there is also a sequel, and another one after that. it is sooo interesting. it goes into detail about why everything happened. like how the crocodile got there, how captain hook came to be, etc.


AND, there is an actual official sequel to the book peter pan. it's not as good as the first one, though.

Dawn I have been MIA on the DIS for the past week or so, so I'm catching up with a bunch of posts at once. First off I loved the pictures of your Christmas decorations from your house. Your blow up Mickey outside is so cute I hope you get it fixed!

I'm really loving your installments of "this time next week," it's getting me very excited for you! (and jealous, I will just live through your trip though ) AK this time next week sounds amazing as do all the other days.

And you said that you heard Luke telling another little boy that he would bring him home treats from WDW...that's too cute!! You guys are going to have the best time.

first off, we fixed mickey!!!!!

his head is still a little wobbly, but he's doing okay post-surgery. here he is without the flash.

okay....now on to the continuation of THIS TIME NEXT WEEK!

this time next sunday night we wil be at MVMCP! but first we will have gone by the WL to see the beautiful christmas decorations there.

then we will head to MK for the party!

first we will see the castle lighting show since we will have missed it the night before while we were dining at kona cafe.

so pretty!

then we'll meet some characters!

(i couldn't find a real picture of belle in her christmas dress, so this will have to do. because i AM meeting her in her christmas dress!!!)

the stepsisters will be having a party at ariel's grotto and i definitely plan on making an appearance there!

then it will be time for holiday wishes!

after that we will enjoy the celebrate the season show in front of the castle!

then it's back to main street to enjoy the christmas parade in the SNOW!!!!

we will end the night with belle's enchanted christmas story!

(again, no picture but this will do - it's the "regular" story time with belle.)

then it will be the time i'm dreading....time to say goodbye to MK. i know i will cry so i'm not even going to try not to. i don't know when i'll be back but i will someday soon. i love you, magic kingdom!!!!!!

I love Donald in his lumberjack clothes! We saw him from afar this time, but the line was long, so we didn't get pictures.

It's hard to believe you have no plans to go at all in 2009. I know taking time off to have a baby will be well worth the sacrifice, but it's still hard to imagine you not going for an entire year! You'll have to have some Disney-themed meals and get-togethers to help out a little. When you do go back, you'll have that little baby girl or boy to make all things Disney even more special than ever!

You probably will cry when you leave. Do you think you can manage a pretty cry, or do you think it will go all the way to the ugly cry? I didn't want to leave this time at all, because it will most likely be July before I'm there again. All of your good pictures just make me want to turn around and go straight back.

Wilderness Lodge is truly beautiful with its Christmas decorations. It is so warm and inviting.

I'm glad you were able to get Mickey all fixed up. I know he is happily greeting your neighbors every evening when they return home from work.

Enjoy this week of planning and preparing. It's almost time!
