yep! i hope we make good time. i sent ray an e-mail reminder last night to ask his boss if he could leave at 3:00 next wednesday. my goal is to be outta here by 4:00. we're gonna hit atlanta traffic on the south side but i don't see any way around it.

Aw I'm jealous! Please say hello to the MK for me! I can't wait to read all about the trip when you get home.......and I can't wait to see all your Disney outfits since you always dress so cute!

i'm sorry to say i don't have any disney outfits for this trip! i know.....how disappointing! but i didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes because of it being christmas and all. plus i wasn't sure what the weather would be like and i didn't want to buy something and then not be able to wear it!

oh, and i will tell MK that tinkgurl says hello!

I like the where will I be next week game, but I will be here... work, eat and sleep, oops DIS and sleep.

Just wanted to wish all of you soon-to-go folks a great time! We had a very nice time last week, and the weather was perfect - not too hot and not too cold. We wore lightweight jackets in the early mornings and after the sun went down, but it was fine in the day time.

The crowds were there, but manageable, so now that they've thinned out from the holiday week, things should be great for you guys.

thanks, memom! i will be thinking of you guys while we're there! i hope the weather stays the same as it is now. two days after we leave the forecast says the low is gonna be 39 degrees!

thanks for that, lisa!!!! now i'm really excited! i'll have to share that link with my fellow rings geeks. the article says that peter jackson is producing but not directing it. i hope he ends up directing it too. he did the rings movies and i think he'd do just as good of a job on the hobbit. i can't wait to see what the dragon looks like!

oh, and if you like peter jackson, go see "the lovely bones," which is due to come out in 2009. and if you like to read, read the book - it's an EXCELLENT book! it's about a little girl (13 years old i think) who is murdered and she's looking down on her family from heaven and the story is about what happens to them after her death. it's just a really good story. i can't wait to see what peter jackson's interpretation of heaven is! here's a link to the imdb site for the movie:

I'm a fan of LOTR, but honestly I had never seen the "mouth of Sauron" scene before. "It takes more to make a king than a broken elvish blade..." Whack! haha

You might have seen this already, but Tink is the newest addition to Madame Tussauds wax museum. The smallest as well.

that mouth of sauron bit was AWESOME! i remember when i bought the box set for christmas that year it was on there and i was like......WHAT IS THIS?????? so cool!

and very cool about tink! i'd love to go there sometime and see all those!

as usual.....an updated countdown!!!!

i was at the gym today and i stopped by the nursery to say hey to luke (anna teaches fitness classes there) and he was telling another little boy that he'd bring him back some snacks from disney world.

okay.....so on with the christmas decorations!

first i'll show you my tree. it's nothing spectacular but i like it. we used to get a real tree every year but bought a fake one last year because it's just such a hassle to have a real one with the dogs. they drink the water!

here it is with the main room light off.....

here she is without the flash. her wings change colors.

oh, and here's my fireplace with our stockings. ray and i are on the end and sherman and eli are the little stockings, then ray's nephew's stocking is in the middle. he's here a lot so we have a stocking for him. i love these!

here's the outside of my house. nothing spectacular again....i love my new mickey mouse blow-up!

this is my mickey. he's cute, huh? he lights up at night. HOWEVER, when i got home from work today i plugged him in and when he inflated his head was hanging over to the side. upon further inspection i found that he had a hole in his neck. i don't know when that happened but i'm not happy about it. he's drying out on my front porch right now. once he dries i'm gonna see if i can fix it.

and now....for pictures of my neighbors yard i promised! they have SEVEN blow-up things in their yard! so this is what i see when i look out my front window....

Your house is really cute! I love the tink topper! As for your neighbor's house - fun, but too much is tacky. We had some neighbors at our old place that do that for every holiday! The rest of the time she has all kinds of "ranch stuff" wagon wheels, pumps, old farm equipment.... all over her front yard - it's a mobile home for Pete's sake!

I'm hoping to get around to putting up decorations (and getting the new report started) this weekend. It has been non-stop since we got back, but maybe the weekend will give me breathing room to get moving on both of those.

Love that ornament. We have that tree topper too. We bought ours in 2004 in DTD at the Christmas store. I wanted a Tinkerbell topper for years and never could find one so I found one there that year and now she's all over the place.

We have those stockings too but not monogramed, are they from Pottery Barn? I have two actually for the two boys and then I classic pooh one for Elizabeth. My kids names are too long to have anything momogramed

He's cute too. Our house is set back so I really don't do any decorations outside. But this year I did buy flags for the holidays that are Mickey so my Christmas one is out now. I hope Mickey gets all fixed. I think that's the same one my neighbor has.
