Il Pochi il Fiero Y Blabbermouths...still making Magic!

I can't believe that word is banned. Too funny!
In other words, a "normal" natural birth after a C section.

Should I even claim a T.O.P for a post such as this??

The doctor is a quack. He's only a GP, and she left her awesome OB because this guy advocates ******l birth after C sections, she's already past due, baby is nearly 9 pounds, I'm worried about meconium poisoning and Megan's uterus rupturing if she tries to deliver. It's not worth the risk.

Claim your T.OP.!! :rotfl:

Well, darn, regarding the doctor. :sad2: Not much we can do when our grown children set their mind to something! :confused3 We did an admirable job raising them - just wish they'd listen to our advice more than they do!!

Will keep Megan & baby in our prayers that all goes well. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Her due date was the 13th, so she's not all that far over. But with her history, and the baby being so big, it's risky. Having to do a C section after labor has started isn't good either.
I haven't heard from her since her call yesterday, so I'm sure she read my Facebook posts and is now mad at me. Oh well. A GOOD Grammy would be over there helping her with the boys and laundry, but I'm afraid I might just smack her.

I decided to be nice and I spent the day with Megan and the boys. She feels okay and is still waiting. She has another appointment with the doctor's partner on Monday.

Still no baby, despite the doctor's efforts to get labor started. If Megan doesn't go into labor today, they have a C section scheduled for tomorrow morning.
She's had lots of starts and stops, baby's head is engaged, but nothing. I REALLY wish she'd just had the surgery a couple of weeks ago, but "oh well" I'm just the (totally inexperienced) grandma.

Frustrating when our "kids" won't listen, isn't it?!! :headache:

At least Rosebud will be born by tomorrow morning! :thumbsup2

For her parents' sake, I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come....... her stubbornness, that is! :upsidedow Rosebud sure has been taking her sweet time getting here!! :rotfl:

Stacey - I definitely agree with you VBAC is definitely not a good idea for Megan.... I hope that everything goes well and she has her C-Section tomorrow....

She left one of the best OB/GYN'S in Omaha when she found this doctor who encourages VBAC's... and none of us are happy.
BUT....the doctor inserted a foley bulb yesterday, and she was getting some contractions, so they had her go up to L & D at 6:00 and were going to break her water, but she was dilated to 4 and 80% effaced when she got there, so they had her walk for a couple of hours. Once she got to 6cm's and 90%, they broke her water. I haven't heard from Dave for an hour and a half or so, but at that point, Megan still had refused any meds.
I'm hoping to heck that they'll do a section at the first sign of trouble, or if she stalls.
Megan said if it gets to be 7:00 am, when they had the section scheduled, and if it looked like she was going to labor all day, she'd just go ahead with the surgery.
I'm at her house with the boys, so I'm only getting rare updates from Dave.
Will let everyone know.

:scared: Did you get any sleep? Hoping to hear from you this morning that Rosebud is here! ::yes::

I slept for a few hours. Really dragging. Megan decided to keep laboring so no baby.
They'll only let her go for 24 hours after breaking her water, so that would be between 7 and 8 tonight.

I just talked to Megan and it sounds like she's coming along pretty well. No way of telling how much longer, though.

This is it, this is the last post....I mean --- an update.

how is Megan?
How is little Rosebud?

How is Grandma Stacey?

Prayers for the new little angel, it is time to come see the world!

I'm at Megan's house with the boys. I haven't had an update for about an hour or so, but she was ready to start pushing.
They were only giving her two hours to push before they go in after the baby, so I should be hearing from Dave soon. I hope.

And of course I'm wrong again. 1:00am and I haven't heard a word since 10:00pm.
Getting frustrated, upset, worried......

Garry, I'm so sorry. I was hoping you were not posting because you were having a great time, not because you were in the hospital. :sad1:

Stacey, I know you're busy, but you need to make the announcement and post a photo here when you get a chance! ::yes:: Congrats to your family! :goodvibes

Yep...sorry....no sleep last night and today was crazy.

RIVER POPPY KLEIN arrived via emergency C section at 2:43am. 9-27-13
She weighed 7lbs 2oz and is 20.5 inches long. She has a fair amount of brownish blonde hair, and no clue as to what color her eyes will be yet, although they do look darker than what her blue-eyed brothers' eyes did.
She gave her mommy fits (LOL my curse is working already!) She was face up rather than down and wouldn't turn no matter what they did. Megan was just too exhausted to keep trying and little one's heart rate was dropping.
There were some complications with the surgery, but Megan is doing great today.
If she had listened to me....well, never mind, she won't listen.
I won't be able to post a picture until I'm on my computer at home Tuesday night or Wednesday since my laptop doesn't have a photo program and I'm too busy (lazy!) to install one.

GARRY!!!! You are only supposed to be in the hospital for your transplant! Do I have to come down there???? I'm all brushed up on my babysitting skills now.

garRy,
Are you still in MI? Sorry I haven't been on the boards. I surprised Alexa and my foster child, Sierra, with a trip to Myrtle Beach. Just got back yesterday. It was a great time:) Now back to reality and lots of homework to catch up on for the kids. Alexa has 3 soccer games to play this weekend so it's gonna be a busy one!
If you are still in town, call me. If not, maybe I will see you in Florida. Spirit Airlines is my new best friend. Got the MB flights for $40 round trip each. Easy to be a big spender that way :lmao:

Irene:
Alexa told me that scuba diving is on her bucket list (who knew a 13 y.o. had a bucket list?? It's amazing what you find out when you get to spend 24 hrs/day hanging out with your kid ). I told that you are the person to talk to.:thumbsup2

Stacey:
Hang in there! Rosebud will be here before you know it and you'll forget all the headache and stress when you look into her eyes.
