It has been fun following Irene's trip report. Lisa's competition season has kept us busy so no guessing from us.
Yesterday we got back from fast, but long, weekend in Ohio. It started with a 2 hour late flight on Friday night and ended up with a 90 miles in 8 hours drive on Monday. At least Lisa got to play in the snow, we just did not think it would be in the center of I-76W.
Lisa won her meet on Saturday night which was great. it was her best score yet with a 37.9. But the bigger news is that she qualified for Nastia Liukin Supergirl Invitational.
I did not really pay much attention to "Nastia" as it is know among the girls, but I now under stand that that is as big as it gets for the girls. Everyone tries to get into Nastia and pick meets that are the qualifiers which explains why we went to Knoxville and Columbus this year.
From the website: The Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup Series featured 17 gymnastics invitationals held throughout the United States from Jan. 14 through Feb. 21. A minimum of two gymnasts from each invitational advanced to the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup, which will be held at 7 p.m. ET on the evening prior to the prestigious AT&T American Cup at Jacksonville's Veterans Memorial Arena, using the event's podium. This year's Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup will be televised live on Universal Sports. For more information on qualifiers, results and photos from each invitational, go to

After the meet we went to a recruiting trip to Kent State which Lisa liked. They liked her as well so Kent is a possibility. But since she made it to the Nastia her emails have been a little busy from other schools that are now showing some interest.
Our next trip is to Logan Utah to visit Utah State University. Matt is really voted for Utah.
