It might be another lobster ???? And remember we had a different cabin host so it would not have been considered a repeat.

Guesses?

The virtual can't end. You need to go again to get the feel for how it is now.

Gymnastics update - Second full ride just got put on the table. Last year was a pretty rough one with gymnastics and Lisa. Nothing went the way it should. It sure is nice to see it all come together for her. It feels good to tell schools like Rutgers, George Washington, Penn....."No thanks, we are not interested".

WVU might be back in the hunt. That will make it really interesting.

Jim that is wonderful news! I'm so happy for all of you.

:cheer2:

BTW how is Bugs doing? She's got her school chosen right? Is she still going to the same meets as Lisa?

That is SO wonderful!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Congrats to Lisa!! :yay:Alexa loves watching the videos. She is showing all her friends and lets them know that she "kinda" knows Lisa. It's funny!

GarRy - r u bracing for the storm?? Alexa WAS thrilled at the prospect of no school tomorrow until I reminder her that she is out of snow days and the next one will be cutting into her summer vacation. Not a happy girl right now. :scared1:

Irene - this virtual cruise has been fun! Thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures. Right about now I could so use a cruise!! Tired of all the snow and cold. Hate to wake up and see the current temp is only 3 degrees!!

Bugs is a little inconsistent this year, just where Lisa was last year. Yes, they are going to the same meets, but this is Lisa's year.

Bugs is not sure what school she will be going to. She is only a sophmore so next year will be her college selection year.

Thanks Jim, I didn't realize she was younger than Lisa. Sorry to hear she isn't having the best year, but very happy to hear that Lisa is having such a good one.

Jim, congrats to Lisa!!! I know that you & Sharon have to be so proud of her! You two raised two great kids.

No BQ yet for Bruce. Not sure when he'll do another marathon.

Garry, praying for you!!!

Irene, the virtual cruise cannot end. Sorry I wasn't around to guess on the towel animals. Not sure what the last animal was. Maybe Stacey's right? Can't believe people were taking them home ... it's a towel!!! On the Carnival cruise that we took, Ashley & I did a towel animal class. We made an elephant & two swan kissing to make a heart shape - I have picture to prove it. That was lots of fun. They even have a book that they sell on how to make the various animals.

Sorry to hear that all of you are still getting snow & cold temps. I'm sooo glad we have warmed here. I just hope that it continues. I heard today that if we get any more freezing temps this winter, it'll ruin the peach & blueberry crops.

The third full ride got put on the table today.

Sorry Virgil, still no WVU. They could not wait for this year's season and committed to early to other girls. They may have a medical situation open up a scholarship in May, but it will be to late by then.

Lisa will need to make a decision within the next few weeks.

Hey all! Checking in but can't catch up on the 30 some pages I've missed!

We are solidly living in Ohio now. :) We're living with Mike's dad and step-mom. Work (and practically anything else) is an hour away, which sucks. :( But many blessings to living here. For one....My FIL needs to get to PT twice a week and his wife works full time so can't get him there. I've been taking him and he's making great improvements.

Plus...our Orlando house hasn't sold yet. Lost 1/3 it's value (at least) in two years, so the harsh reality is sobering. We did have a foreign buyer who sent a check to a title agency. After scrambling trying to coordinate our new home here and our sale there, we found out the dude is on a national watch list for scammers. The check didn't clear and we're back to square one. :(

But God is good. He's taking care of us, just not according to OUR plan. Imagine that! :rotfl2:

Hope all is well with you all. :)

If anyone needs an Orlando home....lemme know.
If anyone needs to buy any DVC contracts, also let me know. :)

Hi folks....Happy Sunday - and since the virtual cruise cannot end - here are some - wait for it - AQUA DUCK shots.

I am not sure when in PC the ride starts up, I recall it was not working when we boarded but it was for time sail away started up.

The ride is entered on the port side (left?) on the stage level - If the line is about at the top of the stairs it is about 15 minutes wait. We found that they ran the ride faster at times and slower at others, you can tell by looking at how fast the water is slooshing through the tube. As you enter the ride area, there are the cute Disney signs to explain the ride - and a cast member at the top with the raft. You can go two at a time (which is fun) - you shoot out over the ship and want to go back and do it again as it is too much all at once to catch - then whoosh down one side of the ship and through a tunnel and out the other side. Fun, fun, fun.

Of course it was cold when we went so we had to jump into the hot tub and guess what - there is a glass plate at the bottom of the hot tub looking down to the abiss...or in our case, it was the dock of Castaway Cay... :lmao:

This will be so much fun when it is warm :thumbsup2

Enjoy - more to come.

That is awesome! What a wonderful position to be in! So great to see all the time and effort you have all put in is paying off.

No need for an Orlando home, just lots of pixiedust: that it sells quickly.

No need for more DVC points either, but if you are trying to sell let me suggest Shontell at DVCbyresale. She did a great job of selling our Vero points.

Irene I'm loving this virtual tour. I'm kind of torn on the Aquaduck. Part of me really wants to try it and part of me is afraid I'll get stuck in the tube. :rotfl:

It looks like it will be either Michigan State or Illinois. We will know within the next month on what she decides.

She has not been to Illinois yet so we are scheduling that visit now.

I thoroughly questioned Vicki about the Duck. I was concerned about being able to get out of the raft at the end of the ride, without falling into the water or looking totally stupid. Because of the surgery I had on my leg, I don't have enough strength to use my legs to push to a standing position....but she assured me that there is someone there to help (whew!) and if I absolutely had to, I could roll out of it, into the water. Just think how graceful THAT would look.:laughing:

I also asked about the weight limit....and I think I'm safe there.:

And More about the Duck....No one needs worry about getting "stuck" except for little kids who are now required to ride with others....strangely, the lighter the child, the easier it was for them to get stuck having to have a crew member crawl in to find them. I wonder how much of this is learning pains for the operators of the duck, and how much is fine tuning - but reagardless, it seems to be remedied. I think the faster the water flow - the more fun the Duck.

As for getting out of the raft at the end of the ride without falling, the best hint is for the water to be cold, cold, cold 68 degrees that way you become lighter than air as you race to the hot tub. :lmao:

Seriously, the raft stops...there is time before the next raft comes, there is plenty of room even if the next raft bumps up. The water is shallow, the place you step off into is wide and there is a cast member to help you up.

Of course you can ride with Sam and he can help you get up. That will leave me falling out of the raft and looking stupid. :rotfl:

Here are a few different type of shots.

At night (or twilight). At night the Duck lights up - the verdict is still out on if this is a neat thing (yup) or distracting from the profile of the ship.
