are you guys going right back or DOING BREAKFAST ????????????????????

I was told we are staying at POP century the night before so we will be there in plenty of time ???????????????????????????

I'm back! Got home Sunday at about 2:00 and had to get a few more things ready for the kids, and also unpack...then headed back to the airport. Their flight was delayed because it had been coming from Chicago, but they made it. The boys slept on the plane, so Megan and Dave were lucky.
Been pretty busy here. Wow, I had forgotten how busy it is with little ones around!!

The cruise was a lot of fun. Way too much good food. We'd chosen the "Anytime" dining, but on our first night, we liked our servers so much, we requested them for the rest of the cruise. Carnival gives people a choice, and most people still choose either early or late dining. The best part of the "Anytime" is that we could walk past the people in line waiting for late dinner and get seated right away. Plus, they seat most of the "early/late" people on the lower level of the dining room, so the upper tier wasn't as crowded.

It's a pretty ship. Much more elegantly decorated than our Alaska NCL Pearl. Really friendly crew and good service. I have no complaints at all about any of it. Still miss my DCL, though!

REALLY cold going down the first night and day, but gorgeous both days in Cabo, and our 2nd day at sea and even still nice in Ensenada. I'd never been there before, but it has some awesome old architecture, and is much cleaner than Nogales or Tijuana....which had been what I was expecting. So it was a good surprise.
And no BOO-BOOs on the cruise! Still rocking, though. When we headed down to Cabo, we were at 23 knots, but coming back he was only going about 8, which made for more side-to-side motion.

Will report more later, my oldest "little man" just wandered out to see me.

Good question......is there a meet up for breakfast on departure morning?

Let's talk - We'd love to....we do not need to "go straight back" so let us compare dates and times.

Sam and Hedgie and I are returning on the morning of the 30th. GaRRy and Vickie are leaving the morning of the 30th.

Is there a time we could all easily meet at GRILLS - not sure what time we get off the boat.....

Or we could try the maiden departure morning on the 26th?????????

We can't do the 26th. There is this thing called "work" that makes mid-week tough.

However, I think we could make 1/30 work. We have some friends (she was our flower girl) in town, but I think we could slip out for a while. However, they are coming from Michigan and we have not seen them in several years.

Their current plans are to spend the weekend with us so leaving for a while on Sunday would be fine. If their plans change, like we have to go to Jax to meet them, then that might kill Sunday.

Let's see if we can get something planned for Sunday. That would also give us a chance to hear first hand about Dream.

We perfectly understand about having friends from out of town from far away...so we can be flexible...that's what voice mail is for.

What time do we get off the ship? Does anyone remember? What time does Garry want to get on the ship???

And where do we want to meet? Grills?

A + B ./.2 = dismeet.

OK, I'll bite -- what are y'all talking about???? :confused3

Oh, the joys of living in metro Atlanta: Day 5 of no school due to our Sunday night snow/ice storm!!! :headache: It was fun for about the 1st day and a half; now it's just annoying!!! :rotfl:

Our local ABC station has preempted Good Morning America every day this week so they could stay on for extended coverage to tell us it's icy out there!!

It's over 32 degrees this afternoon (first time in days ) so we're finally melting!! :yay:

Glad to hear that you are finally melting. We are leaving for the airport now. Heading to Knoxville, TN for a gymnastics meet. The season begins.

Of course, our flight goes through Atlanta which I know is no problem today. Glad we weren't flying last weekend.

A big :cool1::yay::woohoo:to the ice melting. I'm so ready for the girls to go back to school, but alas, one more day home for MLK on Monday.

On a side note, at least 11Alive didn't pre-empt Days of Our Lives. I got to watch all week.

Jim, safe travels to the family this weekend. And good luck to Lisa too!

Gymnastic season has started. The weather has been perfect here in Knoxville.

Lisa did well today. She had 2 firsts, 1 second, 1 third. 2 place overall.

Great way to start the season.

Best part is that we now get to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Laura, I have no idea what gaRry was talking about....that's why I asked "what what". :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, my eldest and her boys are home now. I think. She's probably way too busy trying to settle them into bed to call me. Pretty quiet around here. It will take me a few days to acclimate. :sad1:
