Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

We are back from another college visit. This one WVU. COLD......at least it was was to us.

We had a great time with Virgil, Francis, and the girls. I even enjoyed the Apple Pie Moonshine.

Thankfully Virgil brought extra blankets which made the football game bearable.

So how does Lisa feel about going to a college where the weather would be so much colder than she's used to?
If I'd been smart, I would have gone from Nebraska to ASU or something!

ok next time its FAAAAAAAAAAARTHERE AWAY where it is WARM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its cold down there

COLDER HERE !!!!!!!!!!!

so what I gotta do a cruise to get warm ???????????????????????

way lots of work to get done and a job by itself to stay warm and NOT get sick !!!!!!!!!!!

She would go there in a heartbeat if they offerred her a scholarship. She is currently in the waiting phase while they finish looking at girls graduating in 2012 and make their final decision. Say a little prayer for Lisa that she gets to join Lauren at WVU.:grouphug:

A big THANKS to Virgil and Frances for making our stay at WVU this weekend so much fun. :cheer2::cheer2:

We had an amazing time with everybody! It was a little bit colder than normal for the last football game, but plenty of layers and blankets and we all survived.

We would all love for Lisa to attend WVU with Lauren and will be praying that she gets an offer!

Hi folks - back from our Christmas Trip to WDW and the frozen north. Brr...it was cold there - cold here...

Some highlights - we drove up Saturday morning and arrived at Sanna in time to meet GaRRy and Vicki for lunch. It was a rather adventuresome lunch, but tasty and we enjoyed watching the animals on the savannah - in the sun!

Then we checked in at Old Key West and headed to Epcot to dinner at Canada before the 8:15 Candlelight Processional. I do so love Candlelight. We met some nice servers from Canada while waiting for our table (Nova Scotia and Onterio.) And after Candlelight we stayed for the special Christmas fireworks. We even took advantage of the viewing area, another first. Then I just had to go to see the castle where we had front row seats for the Classic return of the Main Street Electrical Light Parade - oh my, does that take me back. This was an unexpected surprise. We even found Cinderella's wishing well, not sure I had seen that before.

Sunday we attened Mass at the Shrine, very special for us. Then headed to the Marketplace for Christmas shopping before High Tea at the Grand Floridian. And of course, the ginerbread house.

Sunday evening was to the top of the world - California Grill and the MVMCP fireworks extravaganza. And the nightime water pagent parade....another bonus.

Monday - a rare day off work, we were able to walk around Furture world and see a few over-looked sights. wander Epcot and catch another show of Candlelight before heading home (to FREEEZE warnings) and we were traveling south.

We had a most relaxing visit. Did not try to see all 4 parks, but did see some friendly cast members (Hedgie has quite a fan club). Absolutely took no pictures. Just a fun and relaxing time. Disney truely is magical at the holidays. It was great to see Vicki and GaRRy, but he really needs something other than shorts -- It's cold dude....

Glad everyone had a super time this weekend as well.

Irene, sounds like a lovely trip. So Illuminations has some extra Holiday fireworks. We will not get to see them, though, Alicia and I are arriving Jan. 5.

Hi everyone - we're home!

Irene - sounds like you had a great trip and the weather in WDW sounds much like the weather we had at Disneyland. Love Christmas at the Shrine!

Jim, Virgil and Sharon - sounds like you all had a great weekend and who would have thought 6 years ago that your girls might end up going to school together. :thumbsup2

Greetings from Disneyland! Enjoying our Christmas gift to each other. We're staying at the Villas of the Grand Californian and really enjoying our time here.

Ok, that's just weird. We were SUPPOSED to be at the Villas Grand Californian while you're there. Had to cancel those plans so we could extend our Thanksgiving trip in Ohio so we could house hunt.

Wouldn't that have been weird to bump into you guys there!?!??

Holiday tour at Disneyland which includes priority entry to Haunted Mansion and Small World to see the holiday overlays as well as seats for the holiday parade right across from Small World.

Ok, this is also weird....one of my best friends DOES these holiday tours. Do you remember your tour guide's name?

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday. Back to work for me, got to pay for these vacations. :)

Karen I believe our guides name was Josette.

Looks like you & Mark had a wonderful trip. I love Disneyland at Christmas. Would like to see what those new villas look like some day.

The villas are very nice and blend in with the rest of the Grand Californian really well.

I love Disney at Christmas and Disneyland did not disappoint. California Adventure has a lot of construction going on and I look forward to going back in a couple of years when it is all done.

So to Jim, Sharon and Virgil - it seems you had a nice adventure on the colleage trip for Lisa at WVU. Gee,what not to like:

A visit with Virgil, Francis, and the girls. I

Apple Pie Moonshine.

Football

Oh, that cold weather may be a wee bit of a distraction.

Best of Luck Lisa for a scholarship from WVU....

So how goes the house hunting and selling, and packing and moving...???

So how goes the house hunting and selling, and packing and moving...???

House hunting...great. Found a house we all love in Ohio. We are in contract on it with a home sale contingency (meaning if they get another acceptable offer, we have 48 hours to go into a real contract)

House selling...not so good. Bad time of year. Crappy market. Exploring the rental option till this housing market rebounds.

Packing...probably 75% packed. Woot!

Moving...end of January. Not sure where we are moving TO (a new home or in with relatives, but we know God has this ALL figured out and we can totally trust that! So while there are some uncertainties, we definitely are not feeling overwhelming stress. God got us down here, He'll get us home. He started this process, He'll see it through. Double Woot!!!

Thanks for asking. :)
