We're back and settled in after our week in Georgia, and Jared's boot camp graduation.
What a great time, seeing him and visiting with Garry, Vicki, Vanessa, Chris, CJ, Laura and Dwight!! Thank you all so much for coming to share Jared's big event! It meant the world to us.


For Sam, Irene and Hedgie...here's our guy:

He's official!! Left Fort Benning and is now at his AIT (Advanced Individual Training) at Fort Gordon, GA. From what I've heard so far, he's doing well and liking it there.

Satellite Communications....building, installing, repair.......

How wonderful. Thanks for the picture and the update and many congratulations to Jared and best of luck for the future. Boot Camp Graduation is a big step. It must be for him to look so happy to have completed!!!!!!!

Jared is so grown up Stacey! Dale graduated from A&M in December. Really proud of him as he graduated Magna cum laude and carried in the flag for the college of business he got a job in Everett WA working for Boeing.

Ashley is in first year of college and doing great. She made the deans list the first semester and has her conference championships next week for swimming

I booked a cruise for May 17 2014 on the fantasy. Hope things work out that we can go

Good hearing from you. Alexa wanted to make sure I told you "hi". Hope all is well with you.

And another wonderful DisKid. Please tell Alexa hello as well. Things seem to be settling down now that Mother is out of the hospital and settled at her care facility. It has been difficult finding the time and energy to get everything accomplished but there are very kind and caring folks who are helping.

Meanwhile, we do not have much excitement to report. Since Sam is working most weekends we are not able to make our Disney World jaunts. I feel we are overdue for some magic pixie dust. But soon as we have a cruise planned, our first since Hawaii. We are heading to Alaska!!!!! Mind you that is if I get the Easter decorations put away!!!!

Hedgie had an idea with things started getting difficult around Christmas that we would just leave up the tree and hang appropriate items on it all year, you know hearts, shamrocks, Easter eggs and the like....NOT I might add a better one of her ideas.

We have some good news to report in that Sam passed his latest cancer tests and we are ready to celebrate on our cruise (did I mention that!!! heee hee --- shame on me)......

And more news! I just got home tonight from a visit with the family in Nebraska. Went to Megan's ultrasound appointment today before I left (Baby Number LAST!)
And...... after two delightful boys....we are getting a GIRL this time!!! We're all over the moon.

Boys run on Dave's side, and on Megan's dad's side. There's 30 years between Megan and her Aunt Cathy, the only girls, and now 30 more for this little gal.

Oh my gosh!!!! That IS SO CUTE!!!!! I love it!!!

I wish I'd had a hat like that for my Nebraska visit. It rained, snowed, hailed....everything....and was below freezing the whole time I was there. It must be me, because today they're supposed to get up to 80 degrees!!

..... and don't forget Sum of All Thrills in Innoventions!! Maybe we could do better without the CM having to help us next time!

All our "cruise budget" has gone to Norwegian through 2014. We're cruising to Canada & New England out of NYC this October (will celebrate anniversary #31 ); May 2014 we cruise Alaska from Seattle - repeat of the cruise we did with Stacey, Jay & Jared in May 2010. Then, October 2014 to Bermuda out of Boston (for anniversary #32!).

Would love to cruise with you & Vicki on DCL, but it's going to be several years before we can swing it....... that is, unless someone wants to "gift" us a cruise!
