If you are going to be charged $60 per person at Cape May, you might as well go to Il Mulino and have a much better meal/experience. DH and I go to Il Mulino every trip and I don't think our meals there have been $60 per person. We usually share an appetizer, we each get an entree and sometimes we'll get dessert. Their bread service is quite good and I usually overdo it a little bit on that and those are the times I skip dessert. Check the menu and add up the prices of what you think you would get and see how it compares to the price at Cape May.
btw - You can get the full menu in the bar/lounge area at Il Mulino. It's a little more relaxed and on the weekends they have live music, which is nice. You won't get the amuse-bouche from the dining room, but you'll get their bar snack mix which is pretty addictive!
