I've dined with friends at Blue Zoo before now and thinking of dining solo for an early dinner (before heading back out for some park time :) ), I also really like the look of Il Mulino's menu - was wondering if anyone has dined solo at either before and what they thought (from a solo perspective)?

Thanks :goodvibes

I'll let you know about Il Mulino when I see you. I have a reservation there on 11/9. :)

I've done Blue Zoo solo and enjoyed it. It was pretty empty when I was there (9pm-ish dinner), and the servers were attentive and polite, bordering on friendly. In fact, if I could afford it, it's definitely a place I'd eat solo again (though my personal favorite solo dinner in the BW area has been at Kouzzina...twice).

As for the other, I've never been there.

Great, thank you :goodvibes

I've been thinking about Kouzzina too but haven't really seen many reviews lately - maybe I should sneak it onto my list.

Kouzzina seems to be hit or miss for people. I personally love the bold flavors. The service has always been really really good, and they have one of those open kitchens (like on Hell's Kitchen), which makes it kind of interesting too.

I've been to BlueZoo about eight times (sorry, I'm +8 at the moment and more than a little foggy) and all but twice were solo. Definitely not a place that treats single diners poorly. Maybe it's the higher-than-average convention trade, but I've seen more than a few solo diners there at the same time as me, and everyone gets treated professionally. If you're feeling flush, and have two hours to spare, treat yourself to the chef's tasting, and do have the wine pairing. Not cheap-cheap, but an excellent value. Ask for Brandon or Dustin and you'll have truly superlative service.

Thank you both, I'm compromised - breakast at Kouzzina and dinner at Blue Zoo, yum!

Will remember to ask for Brandon or Dustin :thumbsup2
