IGNORE DOUBLE POST..Pulminary Edema? My mom is being tested in emergency now...

My mom is in Fl., and I called today to say hi...she was having extreme trouble breathing and nauseated. My dad was gone ln business 45 miles away...I couldn't get her to stay on the line...she hung up. So I tried back, no answer do I called 911...I'm in Illinois, so I WAS A BIT FREAKED! Anyway, got hold of my dad, and paramedics brought her in...and right now they are testing for PE...from what I was able to quickly read on line about it, it is usually caused froma heart attck or similar...yet no signs of that, or at least that I

FinFan, I hope all is well with your Mother. Did they actually say pulmonary edema or did they say PE? Usually PE stands for pulmonary embolism.

Keep us updated, please. Hope all works out. Pulmonary edema or Pulmonary embolism, both are no good. Parayers are with you and your family.
