I know I’m on one person’s at least. Totally a misunderstanding. I was trying to help them with something and they took it as me getting in their business.

I'm pretty sure I'm on an ignore list or two for sure. I don't have anyone on ignore but I've considered it a few times. I don't think I'll announce it if/when I do though.

I don't ignore people because of their views on the world. I ignore them based on how they present those views. I have no tolerance for rude, demanding, demeaning, blowhards who only put themselves out there to cause controversy.



ETA: I just counted and have 13 ppl on ignore. Makes my time here a bit more peaceful!

Throughout time there have always been posters who spam the board with every thought that enters their fool heads. Mods won't step up because clicks=revenue. Those are the ones I ignore.

That’s a good point.

I have never used the feature, but I agree, it is weird when someone has to make a grand announcement they are blocking someone due to having a different opinion on a subject.



Me too, no desire to block anyone.

I have disagreed with a few people on here, but it was interesting to see what they had to say. I made the attempt to see it through their eyes -- a concept that is severely lacking in our current world. It has changed my hard stance view a few times too. I like that.

Pretty sure I'm one of the 13, LOL. I think we went about a while back... Maybe, maybe not.


I have only put one person on ignore, on another forum. It's an all-topics subsection of said forum. Religion, politics, it's all good to discuss, that's what it's for. We call it The Basement. There's another off-topic for general non-political/religion/other talk.

Put the guy on ignore from his ranting of assessments of video showing you exactly what happened while he always argued the person massively wronged was the one in the wrong. It was during the getting to be common event street protests of last year. But he was constantly quoted by others so it made reading the thread difficult so took him off ignore.

I don't ignore people on here, it seems overkill when I can literally just not read a post, but do ignore suspected bots.

I get that. Every once in a while, they'll add something to a thread that might be interesting, so I don't ignore them, just scroll past.

But I just wanted to say that the announcing of ignoring people reminds me of the days of YAGE (Yet Another Grand Exit).

I had to check. I have three on Ignore. And I haven’t seen any of them in ions! {checks profiles} Looks like two are gone and one was online today, doesn’t post on the CB much that I can tell (or maybe I just don‘t notice ).
