My news was not what I had hoped for either. The CT scan was inconclusive so now I will have a PET scan to determine if the cluster of white cells on my lung is cancer. If it is, they will then biopsy to see if its a metastisis of my former breast cancer or a new primary lung cancer.

But the CT scan shows I have emphesema. So I guess if the cancer doesn't get me, I have that to look forward to.

Serenity Now. Serenity Now.

Pakey, maybe it's an infection? How long will they make you wait for the PET scan?:hug:

Page four?? :mad::mad:

I will ignore the fact that you all are slacking! My electricity will be shut off between 9 and 3 today so I leave it in your hands. Do the right thing :cheer2::cheer2:

I can't ignore Pakey: :hug: hope to hear from you soon.

Hi everyone. Been busy getting ready for my trip. Leaving Thursday.   Unfortunately, I don't have a laptop or internet access on my cell, so there will be no real time reports from the House of the Mouse. You'll just have to wait for my return.

PK, people can actually go an entire week without web connection? I can barely go an entire minute.

Snap, Pet scan is tomorrow. They are also scheduling me for a lymph ultrasound because my lymph nodes are swollen too. Yesterday they discussed lung surgery to remove the tumor and chemotherapy. They said they'd have a counselor call me to help me through everything. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound like anyone is thinking this damn thing is benign. Sounds to me like they think this is cancer but now have to determine if it's metastised breast cancer or a new lung cancer. I was told that many women live 10+ years with metastisized cancer so try not to worry. Of course a new lung cancer would be a worst case scenario. I don't know what the odds are for a non-smoker to get lung cancer. I don't google any of this crap; it's way too scary out there.

At least they gave me some Serenity Now medication to help me cope. I slept like a rock last night.

I was told to go forward with my May vacations to WDW and China; any surgery would be done after that. So I'm trying to practice with my chopsticks. I'm so bad that it definitely keeps me occupied. I think I may have found a new way to lose weight.

....golly, MY 'stalker' problem is tame compared to what's on YOUR plate....

Thats okay, we are all going to put you on ignore anyway, as we do not want to hear about someone going on vacation...without us!

Pakey, I'm sorry things are sounding scary at the moment. You know we're all here for you, good times and bad, and we'll continue to be with you every step of the way, regardless of diagnosis. Now I'm really upset about not having internet access because I'd love to be here every day to cheer you up. You were the one who told me the stay away from Google because it's the worst thing to do -- I'm glad you're taking your own advice. Every person and every diagnosis is different and you, my friend, are one in a million. ;) Glad to hear that WDW and China are still viable options. And just in case that chopstick thing doesn't work out, pack a fork. :rotfl:

Is there anything you'd like from Disney to help brighten your spirits a little? Perhaps a special Mickey ears hat, or a postcard from a special someone?

Some day you are going to show all of us how to use chopsticks!! I'm sorry things are so uncertain right now, but I'm glad you are not canceling your trips. I will think only good thoughts for you :hug:

Guys you are all great and I love all the laughs we have on here. Knowing I have the ridiculous, outrageous and nonsensicle stuff here to look forward to is the best thing you guys can provide.

My husband went out and bought me a dozen pairs of chopsticks last night. He saw me in action; felt I needed a bit more help.

I really hope I don't have to eat dog. Like in Chinese crested.

A DOZEN? we have three or four pairs, but I got DW a set for travel

They are so handy, I got a set.

(I did spend several years in Japan, so you get really good with them when you are hungry!)

...read the thread...:guilty:

Going to read the thread now. Very busy in work, but when I saw your response above, I was a little taken aback, so I went back and read the last 5-6 pages of this thread. Then I had to get offline and finish my work. I've said this before and no one believed me -- sometimes in work I don't see everything. This link did not appear in the post in work. It was only when I got home that I saw the link. I've had this happen with pictures, signatures, etc. Kimmar, I thought you were giving me the old smackdown for having missed someone's birthday on our Ignorami thread. I was like wow, that was harsh. :rotfl: But now that I see there's a link, I'll catch up.

And Pakey, take it easy with those chopsticks. Wouldn't want you to start a fire from rubbing them together, poking someone's eye out because of a lack of eye/hand coordination, or getting any splinters/blisters. :thumbsup2

So far I have learned this about chopsticks:

Sometimes it is easier to stab the food that it is to pluck the food.

Kimmar, the birthday card thing is weird.

By pointing me to that thread, was Kimmar trying to insinuate that I was trying to stalk you by offering to send a present? :confused3

And FWIW, if anyone needs anything (hat, shirt, postcard, etc.), just let me know. I'd be happy to pick it up while I'm there.
