First of all, no Andy is not Paris Hairless' hubby. They barely tolerate one another. They are not siblings either. Andy is a beautiful Crested, much more attractive than Paris Hairless, LOL. And he is my baby. I love Miss Paris but I'm obsessively attached to Andy.

I think he is doing fine. The hospital is updating us every 2 hours. My husband is going at 10am to visit him and take him some food (he doesn't eat dog food; my dogs have home cooked "bland diet" so they have to stay on their same diet). I opted not to go because Andy is so attached to me that seeing me will only freak him out so I'm going to wait until this evening when hopefully he will be able to come home.

I once had another dog, a cocker spaniel, that ate a ping pong ball and had to have this exact same emergency surgery. What are the odds?

Did I ever tell you what my little nephew said when he saw Vienna on The Bachelor? He said "ewwhh, she is not easy on the eyelashes!" :lmao:

....that bad, that it even affects his EYELASHES???? [ :rotfl: ]

Well we have stripper pole dancing, dirty old men, exploding pumpkin heads, eyelash pain all in the first week of ballroom dancing. Did we discuss Edyta's outfit? In case you were wondering, I have the exact same dress hanging in my closet. Its what I always wear when my husband and I go out dancing.

...:scratchin.... I was WONDERING who I loaned it out to...:confused3

Pakey, I know you are upset and all, but really I can't have you talking smack about Paris Hairless! What if she reads this, she will never recover. :sad2::sad2: I think a new sweater is in order :snooty:

Poor Andy! I'm glad the vet was able to save his hairless life.

I complained about a $100 hair wrapped around baby R's toes, I'm shocked by a $4000 toothpick. Back in Dec, baby R had a hair wrapped around 2 toes so tight it broke the skin. They fast tracked us at the er because if we hadn't gotten all the hair, she could have lost a toe. Thankfully, we had managed to remove it all before we got there. The doctors basically did nothing but make sure it was all gone and tell me to put neosporin on it. They did look terrible. The hair had been on there for 24 hours when I found it (I kept her in the same socks after bath through the next day). Our co-pay was $100. Man, was I irritated about paying that for a little hair wrapped around her toes. But $4000 for a little toothpick, you've blown my hair out of the water.

Andy is now home; my husband called and said they released him from the hospital after he was able to keep his breakfast down.

Kerrie, that's a funny/scary story about baby R. I'm glad it didn't cost you as much. I knew, driving over to the hospital last night, that it would be that expensive. But what are you going to do? I could not have lived with myself if the dog had died because I was afraid it would cost too much to fix him. I really do love my dogs.

But I know my husband was/is thinking "I could have gotten a really nice set of golf clubs with that money". :)

And Snap, Paris Hairless is so ugly that even she knows it. Many people have said it to her face. Yes, perfect strangers feel perfectly fine commenting in front of us about how ugly she is. That's why she is so lovable. She is compensating.

:surfweb: good morning! How is Andy today?

Alphamom, how is hubby?

Pretty good, considering. We never filled the script for pain meds. I know they've bothered him, but he never felt the need for narcotics. He can leave them unbandaged now and will have the stitches taken out on Tuesday. His hands are still pretty weak. He solved his, um, problem, by unbandaging one when he went and using baby wipes. We have plenty of those in the house. :upsidedow He's talking about going back to work earlier than planned. We'll see after he talks to the doctor on Tuesday.

I have a picture of his frankenhands if ya'll want me to post it.

Sure, I'll have a peek. I hope he doesn't push himself too fast, he could cause more damage.

Frankenhands

I'm so glad he's doing better. But, so cool Frankenhands! (I feel badly typing that, but I am so interested in things like that -- weird, I know!)

Sheesh -- you miss a day on this thread, and it's hard to catch up. Pakey -- I'm sorry about Andy and the ensuing vet bill. But, the discussion regarding the hairless and married dogs and hurt eyelashes and Edyta's outfit (which may or may not be either kimmar's or GP!) leaves me feeling like I just got off Expedition Everest -- what a whirlwind!

Wow AlphaMom, that's scary looking. Good for him that he's "taking care of business" :thumbsup2 Do you think you'll still be able to go to WDW, or will it be cancelled? I really hope you get to go but sometimes life gets in the way.

Pakey, any word from your doc yet? Still praying and sending :goodvibes and pixiedust: your way.

As for the questionable outfit, if it wasn't spandex, it wasn't mine. pirate: and Kimmar can fight over that one.

Happy Thursday everyone and yep,
THREE WEEKS TIL I'M IN DISNEY!!!!
