If you've seen "Secret Window", is it worth renting tonight?

I'm here alone again. DH on the road, DD working at a church carnival. I can rent ANY movie I want tonight. How's "Secret Window"?

Loved it but don't think I'd want to be alone when I watched it!

I don't know but we just rented it for tonight too! I don't know if you are interested in going to the movies, but we just saw the Notebook today and it was great!

DD saw The Notebook twice already and raved about it. :D

I have it for tonight too. :)
Can't wait. I also have Calendar Girls. Just watched Gothika and I watched that alone. It was scaaaaaaary!!!! :earseek: But, I totally love that and it kept me on the edge of my seat, well really my eyes under the edge of the blanket. ::yes::

The one good thing about watching the scary ones alone, is they keep me AWAKE.::yes::

I didn't care for it too much, but Dh really liked it. I did recently rent Mystic River and loved it!

Yes Mystic River is excellent. I read the book first and you know how that can be. The movie did not disappoint. It really did the book justice.

Well, I am crazy about Johnny Depp, but I didn't like Secret Window. I have never really been a fan of Stephen King movies. You might like it though, if you like that sort of thing.

We liked secret window. I think it is worth renting. We saw it at the theater and it was full of suspense.

As long as it isn't anything like "Kingdom Hospital".

It was watchable. Not great, not bad either. Had some elements of "A Beautiful Mind."

By the way, if you normally drool over Johnny Depp..... this is NOT the character or look for drooling over.

LOL...yes, not Johnny at his best looking ;)

I love Johnny and Stephen King, so I was delighted :teeth:

Go for it. I wouldn't hesitate watching it alone.
I have it sitting here on my computer desk just so I can look at the cover photo ;) :faint:

I didn't like it at ALL. I totally busted out laughing at the end.

Mystic River WAS good, however. Though once I figured it all out, about halfway through, I was sad for the rest of it...

We have Cold Mountain and Butterfly Effect for the weekend.

I haven't seen the others, but Butterfly Effect was GREAT- very disturbing. Just don't watch the alternate ending, its really stupid and I usually always regret watching alternate endings because they ruin the rest of the movie- if it was that good, it would have been THE ending.

If you're a true Johnny Depp fan and not someone who just wants to LOOK at him, then Secret Window is awesome. He's hilarious and very convincing as the almighty Morton Rainey.

Definitely worth it, we watched it last week end and alltho i am not a big king fan,, i liked the premise of it, and loved johnny depp as Morton rainey, very convincing

I just watched it today. I really liked it. My sister and I both agreed that this was the best Stephen King movie in quite a while. It was definitely worth seeing. It was kinda suspenseful which I really enjoy.
But I've liked every Johnny Depp movie except Bennie and June.
