...what do you think? Is the husband involved?

Just saw Dr. Henry Lee on Fox News with Rita Cosby and it seems that a bloody knife was found in the apartment, along with "quite a bit" of blood in the apartment in general.

I do hope they find her soon. Her poor family needs this resolved. It must be excruciating for them.:(

I am very suspicious of him. His stories just don't add up. :( Very sad.

It sounds pretty likely that the husband was involved (and not very promising that she will be found alive, sorry to say). Seems that he had some pretty big secrets. I know these things are certainly not proof of guilt, but they definitely suggest he may be hiding something.

It is almost always a SO or spouse involved when a person goes missing (when there is foul play involved). Obviously not always, but I am sure LE is keeping a very close eye on his actions. I pray for her family that she is found soon. Very sad story.

I'm curious as to whether Lori herself knew about his college/med school lies. I can't imagine my own husband being able to cover up that much without my knowledge.

He has quite a bit of explaining to do.

Yes, he sure does. Maybe she just recently stumbled upon information that showed he was lying to everyone and that led to a confrontation that became physical, who knows...? But honestly, some people are consumate liars and masters of secret keeping, even from their spouse. I hope he isn't one of them.

One news report said he bought a new mattress before he reported his wife missing.

The police found him running around a motel parking lot naked.

It does not sound good.

So sad. I think he may be involved. It just sounds suspicious to me.

That is troubling. I mean, yes, they were moving and maybe they needed a new mattress, but I think it would have been easier to wait until they got to North Carolina to buy one. But, I suppose different strokes for different folks.

What bugs me is the fact that they don't know (or at least aren't saying) where the old mattress is. Generally, when you buy a new one, you have the old one carted away when the new one is delivered. But I guess Mark Hacking strapped the new one to the roof of his car and drove away with it.

I hadn't heard about the mattress or the 'naked' thing, wow, the story is getting more and more strange as it unfolds...anyone have any links to articles on this story?

Nope, doesn't look good for Him, feel bad for HER Parents.:( Apparantly, there was more going on with HIM than anyone realized.

Has anyone heard if he has a history of mental illness? The facts are just so bizarre.

Haven't heard of a history of mental illness, BUT he does work at a psychiatric clinic of some kind. Which leads you to wonder, if he's exposed to that type of thing regularly, he could probably do a good job of faking a mental breakdown.

Thanks for the link Rita...after reading this (if it is true) and the other things mentioned:

''Police said they had learned by Thursday that Mark Hacking telephoned friends about 10 a.m. Monday to say Lori was missing and telephoned police about 50 minutes later. In between, he bought a queen-size mattress -- without a box spring -- at a furniture store, police said.''

I am gonna go out on a limb and say the husband is gonna need a GOOD defense atty....

What's so sad is how many interviews the other members of the family has had to endure trying to explain HIS bizarre behavior. If he IS innocent, he is sure acting like a guilty man.

I feel bad for the family because they seem to be in such denial. No one wants to believe that someone they love and gave this much trust to would hurt your loved one. Whatever happens I hope they find out soon.

:(

It is a sad story for sure, and has the earmarks for another media feeding frenzy till it is solved, then the trial will let it continue for months. The media makes me sick at times.

The media lives for this type of thing. They don't have to scramble for filler - they have a guaranteed 24/7 story. Sad really.

Thanks for the update. I haven't been following the news that much this weekend. He certainly is starting to look worse everyday. Too much like the Scott Peterson saga.:(
